SOTD: Zaharoff Signature Seraphim Musk
Gave Signature Seraphim Musk a full wear today and logged it from start to finish. First spray: ~10:04 a.m. Opening (10:04): Right off the bat, the opening is beautifully clean and rounded. It smells like fresh sheets or clean laundry, but elevated. The bergamot, cardamom, and pink pepper give it that smooth, slightly spicy freshness without ever getting sharp. Honestly, this opening is better for me than both Seraphim Blue and Seraphim Red. Immediate good mood scent. ~50 minutes in (around 10:55): At this point, I started picking up a faint animalic edge, which I believe is coming from the black musk. It’s subtle, airy, and elegant, not dirty. In the air, it actually reminded me a bit of Amouage King Blue. There’s a soft sweetness here as well, and the scent feels very refined. Mid phase (around 12:18 p.m.): About two hours in, that animalic edge has toned down significantly. The musk is still present but has become much more skin-like. I’m getting a gentle sweetness now, likely from the black vanilla, along with a smooth woodiness underneath. Everything feels extremely well blended. This is very much in my wheelhouse. Final drydown (around 2:48 p.m.): Roughly four hours and forty minutes in, this has turned into a true skin scent. I can smell it about an inch or two off the skin. True to its name, the musk never leaves, but the animalic side is dialed way back. What’s left is a soft mix of musky warmth, leather, and sweet vanilla. Calm, comforting, and intimate. Overall: Seraphim Musk is a banger for me. It’s warm, sweet, musky, slightly animalic early on, and then beautifully smooth in the drydown. Even though oud isn’t listed, the black musk gives off a faint oud-like funk, which I really enjoy. This is something I can see myself reaching for again and again. For my taste, this one is absolutely full-bottle worthy.
