This week, I tried out my sample of Reflection Man by Amouage, and as my first experience with a fragrance from this house, I was genuinely excited. The fragrance opens with beautiful white floral notes intertwined with a herbal touch, giving it a fresh, green feel. It's one of the few floral-dominant men's scents that I've truly enjoyed. While it doesn't exactly resemble Lacoste Blanc, it captures that clean, fresh white-floral opening. After about five minutes, the neroli starts to emerge—a classic note that most of us recognize. The middle notes introduce a powdery aroma that harmonizes beautifully with the other elements. You might expect such a combination to lean feminine, but Amouage has skillfully created a composition that retains a distinctly masculine character, allowing these notes to work wonderfully together. As the fragrance begins to dry down, which takes about half an hour, you’re met with a classic woody and earthy scent complemented by musky undertones. In terms of longevity, I found it to last over six hours before fading away. The projection is impressive for the first hour, after which it settles closer to the skin, slowly tapering off by the sixth hour. It’s worth noting that a few extra sprays can enhance its performance. The scent itself is fresh and non-offensive, making it versatile for various occasions. Overall, Reflection Man serves as a fantastic introduction to Amouage. I’m certainly interested in sampling more from this house. The only downside is the price point; if it were more affordable, I'd probably add it to my collection without hesitation.
