Hawas Kobra ā honest review from Singapore weather
Brother-to-brother honest review here. Today was a hot and humid day in Singapore, so I already suspected Hawas Kobra might struggle a bit. I applied it around 10am before heading to church. While indoors in the air-conditioned environment, the performance was actually very good. The scent bubble was noticeable, and I could clearly smell the green tea and neroli. It was fresh, slightly floral, and pleasant. I believe people sitting near me could smell it too. In air-conditioning, it performs well and smells clean and refined. However, the moment we stepped out into the hot and humid outdoor alfresco dining area, everything changed. The scent faded very quickly. By around 2pm, I could barely smell anything on myself, so I did a reapplication. This time, because I was outdoors the whole time in the heat and perspiring slightly, the performance was even shorter. It lasted maybe less than two hours before becoming very faint. Now around 5pm, I can barely detect anything on my wrist, and there is no real scent bubble around me anymore. Singapore weather is honestly a killer for this kind of fragrance. Heat, humidity, and perspiration really reduce its longevity and projection. In terms of scent profile, I must say it leans a bit more floral than I personally prefer. The neroli and green tea give it a softer, slightly gentler character. It smells clean and pleasant, but for me, it feels a bit less masculine compared to scents like Club de Nuit Intense Man. I prefer something crisper, woodier, and more grounded. That said, Hawas Kobra is known to be inspired by Louis Vuitton Imagination. I would definitely like to try Imagination one day and compare them side by side to see how close this gets. From what I understand, even Imagination itself is not known to be a very long-lasting fragrance. Perhaps this is simply the nature of fresh, citrus-tea-based fragrances. This is my honest experience with Hawas Kobra in Singapore weather. It smells good indoors and in cooler environments, but outdoors in heat and humidity, performance is limited.
