I really enjoy this fragrance, especially the opening. The citrus and spice stand out immediately, and the citrus is probably my favorite part. As it settles, I notice an aquatic quality that reminds me of being out on the open ocean, about 10 or 15 miles from shore—that fresh, clean smell of the water. I don’t pick up the amber, but my nose may not recognize that note yet. The drydown has a fresh, spicy, woodsy smell that I really like.
The performance is where it falls short for me. I applied it around 7 a.m., and by 11 a.m., I could barely smell it on my wrist or inside my elbow. By a little after 2 p.m., roughly seven hours after applying it, I couldn’t smell it at all. Projection seems okay, but longevity on my skin isn’t great. I have an event tonight, so I’ll need to reapply. This is one I would carry a travel spray of for touch-ups.
I see this as a great spring and summer fragrance for running errands, going to the gym, or relaxing at home after a shower when I want to smell fresh and clean. It doesn’t feel too strong or overwhelming. Overall, I really like the scent; I just wish it lasted longer. I also enjoy Versace Eros Flame, which may be the next fragrance I review.
