SOTD/Review: Rabanne Ultrared Men
From the first spray, a burst of blood orange hits you like a flash of neon - juicy, tangy, and full of life. As it settles, the energy softens into a creamy praline and vanilla heart, smooth and addictive, like warm dessert against cool night air. The tonka bean and patchouli base hums quietly underneath, grounding the sweetness with a subtle masculine warmth. Ultrared isn’t deep or mysterious - it’s bold, playful, and unashamedly fun, a scent that turns heads without trying too hard. It carries the same vibrant spirit as Ralph Lauren Polo Red, though this one feels a touch richer and more sensual. I get around 6–8 hours of longevity, with strong projection in the first couple hours before it settles closer to the skin but I still get whiffs in the air of this sweet, addictive scent. Even though it’s discontinued it can still easily be found, it’s a flirty, confident fragrance that still feels as fresh today as no doubt when it launched. I’d rate this at 9.1/10, such an addictive scent that makes me sniff myself a lot; a fragrance that feels like bottled adrenaline wrapped in sweetness. The bottle is odd though, resembles a wall stapler gun somehow but it makes up for that with the atomiser which is very good. It was a blind buy and no regrets, love it!
