Tested from a sample I received, so of course I used the full sample in one go.
This opens with the bergamot dominating the opening to give a bright, fresh spark. The spices and juniper berry tones down the brightness so that there is nothing sharp about the opening. The first hour of wear is commanded by the top notes as it progressively gets sweeter and smoother during the dry down.
After the initial hour, I can still detect the bergamot but the blend of cashmere wood and floral is super smooth. The scent now shows up as intimate but is not yet a skin scent. The projection has definitely been curtailed but the complexity grows.
The bottom notes blend into well harmonized accords. The bergamot is still there but has lost the battle for dominance. Instead we are left with a soft, smooth, warm aroma with just a bit of sweetness. Overall, it doesn't shine as well as I would have wanted but I do enjoy every phase.
The projection is moderate and it became a skin scent after about two hours. However, as a skin scent it does last quite a while, in total I got about 6 hours. In general this is an intimate wear although it does open with a sharp bright burst of citrus and eventually dries down to warm, smooth slightly sweet and woody accords. I get less of the spice than I had anticipated.
