My Take (you’ve been warned…)
After the bait-and-switch mess that was Midnight Sun from a scam reseller, I needed to get the bad taste of that whole experience out of my heart and off my skin. So I pivoted to this fragrance after seeing back-to-back Instagram reels from Daniel Rene and Steven Gavrielatos. Ordered May 19, arrived May 25, and after spending time with it today, the compliments came in heavy.
This fragrance is sexy. Sensual. Flirty. It feels like a cold drink of water on a warm Spring or Summer day—beach resort energy, lounging poolside with nowhere to be but present in the moment. There’s an aquatic familiarity that may remind some of Davidoff Cool Water, but let me be clear: this is not a dupe. It’s clean, sweet, spicy, and absolutely magnetic. The dry-down is 🔥🔥🔥—smooth, aromatic, and projecting a calm “cool as cucumber” sillage that just pulls people in. While it’s of index design, it leans heavily on the masculine. Honestly suitable for almost any setting. My warning? If you value your personal space, don’t wear this.
What surprised me most is how much I genuinely enjoy it. Normally, during warmer days, I lean toward Heretic Parfum Pistil Whip as my go-to. This one though? Different story. From 6:45 a.m. to 5:13 p.m., the compliments never really stopped. The strength and longevity felt like someone added a cinematic lens flare to my aromatic aura. I can already tell this is stepping firmly into my Spring and Summer rotation. A successful blind buy and absolutely worth the investment on my part
My Rating
Scent: 9 of 10
Durability: 9 of 10
Sillage: 9 of 10
While not perfect, I sincerely liked it and can see it added in between Pistil Whip and Shay & Blue’s Matcha. Submitted for your approval, Khamrah Waha by Lattafa. As usual, your sillage may vary; fragrance discretion is advised.
