Picked up Ex Nihilo Chandigarh Express this morning and immediately made it my scent of the day.
This is an upscale leather. Not an overly smoky or rugged leather, but a refined, smooth leather wrapped in bright mandarin orange that gives it a surprising amount of lift.
Was it 105° in Phoenix today? Yep. Did I hesitate to wear it? Not for a second.
Is it a freshie? No. But in Phoenix’s dry heat, it wears as a clean, masculine leather instead of feeling heavy or overwhelming.
And this thing performs.
Just running errands today I got two unsolicited compliments. First, I stopped by my eye doctor’s office to pick up some contact lenses, and the front desk immediately asked, “That smells amazing. What are you wearing?” Then I walked into my barber’s shop and before I even sat down he said, “Bro, what is that?! That smells great!”
What surprises me most is how underrated it is within the Ex Nihilo lineup. Everyone talks about Blue Talisman, Speed Legends, The Hedonist, and Lust In Paradise, and for good reason. But Chandigarh Express rarely gets mentioned.
Personally, I think it deserves a lot more attention. If you’re even remotely into leather fragrances, this one absolutely belongs on your radar.
I’d call Chandigarh Express a winner.
