Heres a nice aromatic/woody scent from Calvin Klein. It's clean & fresh as you would expect from Calvin Klein. Launched in 2009. CK Free was created by perfumers Rodrigo Flores-Roux & Ellen Molner
Its opens up with Juniper Berries, Star Anise, Wormwood & Jackfruit, giving resh, slightly fruity, and with a unique herbal twist. Did you know that its Wormwood that aromatizes absinthe & vermouth? At its heart it becomes more complex g masculine, with notes of Suede, Tobacco, Coffee,& Buchu which lend some subtle warmth & an interesting blend of textures & aromas. The coffee & tobacco notes are by no means overpowering but do add a little depth. The base anchors the fragrance with a classic combination of Virginia Cedar, Oak, Patchouli & Woody Notes to gove it its overall clean, earthy drydown.
Most of these CK releases are lets say cheap & cheerfull, they smell good & wont break the bank. The trade off is the performance. CKfree is fresh, clean, and subtly woody fragrance with an aromatic edge. It's not overly heavy or strong, making it suitable for everyday wear. It only lasts about 3 to 4 hours on my skin with projection lasting about 1hr. I think I just found a willing subject to try a layer experiment with my Bottle of Not a perfume. Perhaps a dose of Cetalox will add some life to this pleaant scent?
