SOTD - A comparison; Gris Charnel BDK vs Liam by Lattafa

I have a 2ml of the BDK and a full bottle of the Lattafa (Burlington). Apparently, the Liam is a clone. The BDK will go on my left wrist and the Lattafa on the right.

Right out of the atomizer, the BDK is pleasant while the Lattafa gives you that quick sting with a chemical mess-type smell. The sting disappears quickly and settles down to a spicy /cardamom, fig(?) fragrance. On the initial sprays, the Gris Charnel is more refined, higher quality and very easy to wear. As time passes, I see the Lattafa getting closer to the OG but not competing with the big boy. At the five minute mark, the OG is really justifying its existence.

I'm going to be sitting at my desk most of the morning, so I'll be interested to see how things develop. I think the Lattafa may get reasonably close, but never really get there.

On Jomashop the OG goes for $187 and the clone goes for $25. My initial impression is that I'd be better off with the OG, now that I see it head to head. If I totally loved the DNA (I like it, I don't love it) I would be forced to start checking out prices of the BDK. Given my latest buying streak, I'm in no hurry...🤑

After 15 minutes I asked my wife. She REALLY preferred the Liam and to her the OG was too faint. She preferred the clone. (I KNEW I married the right girl!!)
