Ghinwa is part of Lattafa's high end Niche Emarati collection, a line designed to have a more premium feel than their standard mass-market releases & with that a higher price tag. It is a rather nice Woody Chypre that balances a bright, fruity opening with a deep, mineral-woody foundation. With this, that have managed to blend ME elements with modern French style perfumery. It is credited to Lucas Sieuzac. Sieuzac is a l French perfumer known for his work with luxury houses like Amouage, Givenchy & Carolina Herrera.
It opens with a vibrant burst of Fruity Accords and Citrus. It's sweet and juicy, reminiscent of crisp apples or pears. At its core, Jasmine provides a floral elegance, while Cedarwood adds a dry, clean, and slightly smoky depth. The dry-down is dominated by Ambergris, Oakmoss & Woody Notes. The ambergris provides a salty, airy, and slightly animalic quality that gives it great presence.
Performance wise, I get a max of 6 hrs from this. The projection ai t too bad. It creates a noticeable scent trail that isn't cloying but definitely makes its presence known in a room for the first two hrs. The balance of fruit and wood makes it suitable for both day and night, though it shines best in slightly cooler weather
