Purple Rain by Sylhouette Parfums review
#sotd... Purple Rain by Sylhouette Parfums... This is a tribute to Prince. A limited edition of only 150 bottles made. I have always been a Prince fan so when I saw it, I knew I had to have it in my collection. Purple Rain is dark fragrance. It opens with a liquor scent mixing with the Raisin and Raspberry. (Yes, I was able to pick up the raisin scent in it... Weird to me but it works) The dry down really surprised me. The tobacco and suede is giving off church incense vibe to me. That being mixed with a slight powdery scent. I would not recommend blind buying this. It definitely will not be for everyone. Plus it is a high price point for only a 50mls. I personally like this fragrance. If I had to compare it to something in my collection, the only thing I can say it reminds me of a little bit is Plum In Cognac by Scents of Wood. I would say maybe about 65% to 70% like it. Purple Rain is not a clone or inspired by anything. Definitely one of a kind to my nose. As for performance, this is a beast! 12 plus hours and still picking it up. No need to refresh. Great projection with a heavy sillage. I give this a 10 out 10. Better suited for cooler weather or control room temperature.
