Yes, I’m a little late giving “the one and only” my first full wearing, so I was with Dior Sauvage Elixir as well. As I’ve said before, I always got a powdery nuance from both of these that I was not a fan of. I both Asad once and returned it. Then I bought the OG, and got the same powdery nuance. Also, I was kind of waiting for the Asad hype to fade away to avoid smelling like everyone else. It took me more than a year to finally give it a full wear to the OG and understand and value the fragrance DNA. So, I bought Asad again now knowing what it’s all about. It’s very similar to the OG (not as strong), spicy/sweet, resinous, aromatic, woody and very masculine. Great projection and longevity.
Definitely worth the hype, although there are other strong regarded contenders:
- Khadlaj: Gaith
- Fragrance World: Enigma Une
I have 2 others in my collection that are less known but very good ones:
- Sapil: Maison de Bois Pour Homme
- Camara Perfumes: Vamos Voyage Elixir
