New pick up (fail)

For those who dont know my first ever fragrance i tried by sampling was JPG le male elixir. That was end of 2023. I was encapsulated in this beautiful powdery honey lavender tonka combo. Today i sprayed it after receiving it and its different. This one is the 2024 october batch. Now it smells exactly like le parfum. To my nose they are same but elixir is sweeter. Idk if its to do with my skin chemistry but this is not the fragrance i remember. My nose has developed significantly but I don’t think that would make this smell worse. Has anyone else had any experience like this? Anyones got a OG batch to compare with a newer batch?
