Memo from Paris Ithaque A memento of an imagined past

Off the rip this one gave me vibes of Brut or other classic men's fragrances in the best possible way. It's listed as a Chypre with Pepper and citrus notes, bit to my nose it came across Fresh green and the juniper note evoked my memories of Brut in my youth or Speed Stick or Edge shaving foam.

This might not sound like praise, but for me those early scent memories are potent and mostly filled with rose coloured nostalgia. This one is much more refined and I know if I actually smelled the scents it reminds me of they would smell nothing like they do iny memory.

Memo is a house I am getting to know slowly and I think that they like to sit on the fuzzy edges of memory and nostalgia so this one is a win for today.

Would I want to evolve this everyday - no. But that I think is the point with this one. It's something to wear to evoke wistful remembered days that all the hard edges have been files off by the winds of time. An homage to a time that never was and yet still feels real.
