Fresh Tuesday!
Starting off Tuesday with the cracking open of Acqua Della Regina. This arrived last week after my sample was gone and my wife looked at me and said "You Smell Great" "What's that you're wearing"
This was all the encouragement it took me to break the #nobuyseptember game 🤷🏻‍♂️
It's starts off fresh and stays well and its going to be in the high 70's today so might as well enjoy it while I can.
Here's ChatGpt analysis:
Acqua della Regina (Eau de Cologne) by Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella (SMN).
  • Historical origin: It is one of SMN’s oldest fragrances. It was commissioned in 1533 by Catherine de’ Medici (Caterina de’ Medici) as a bridal gift and taken to France when she married Henry II of France.
  • Olfactory / Scent profile:  • Top notes: Italian citrus fruits, petitgrain
  • Heart / middle notes: Neroli, rosemary, cloves, lavender
  • Base notes: Musk (and sometimes patchouli is mentioned in some sources)
  • Character / impression: It is generally described as a fresh, citrusy, herbal / aromatic scent, leaning more toward a classic, clean cologne than something heavy or sweet.
  • Longevity & performance: Many users mention that it doesn’t last long — often just a few hours (common for light cologne formulations).
