As we move into Fall, one of our members recently mentioned this fragrance. While I'm not a huge fan of leather fragrances, this fragrance received positive reviews and was listed at under $20, so I thought I'd give it a shot. My comments are based on: 1. Scent profile, 2. Longevity, 3. Sillage, and 4. Price
- Scent Profile: This is an oriental fougère with a smooth suede-leather core, sweetened by rich amber and white moss; subtle fruity and hay-like freshness adds a creamy, berry-tinged edge (hints of violet and saffron). It's linear, polished, and slightly more masculine and versatile, with an earthy-sweet profile that's less smoky and more "daytime" suede.
- Longevity: I found this lasted a solid| 5-6 hours (skin: 3-5 hrs; clothes: up to 7 hrs); solid for price but fades to skin scent.
- Sillage: Moderate (2-3 hours strong, then intimate); good arm's-length trail without overwhelming. Overall, it's noticeable but not overpowering, with a sensual trail.
- Price: I paid $19.25 on Amazon) Final thoughts. In the final analysis, it's not a bad fragrance. It has unbeatable value as a "steal" dupe—affordable entry into leather scents with solid performance. Tomorrow. I'll discuss Tom Ford's Ombre Leather. I'd like to hear your thoughts.
