Yesterdays antics
Yesterday started well but by the end of the day I was so done!
It started off going to visit a cat and feed her, all good. Then I went and picked up my friends sausage dog and took her back to my house for a play date with my 2 fur babies.
Then I went to my dad’s house and was looking after someone’s dog as their son was getting married and then Jeremy turned up. Omg that dog doesn’t stop. He is so hyperactive and we played with a ball on and off from 4pm until midnight. He had a t10 minute snooze and then he was off again. I like lazy animals!
Then my dad said the toilet was blocked and he was walking(!) back and forward on his walking frame with saucepans of boiling hot water trying to clear the blockage. That took over an hour and he would just stand and watch to see if the water was going down… it was painful to watch but I had my hands full with Jeremy.
My dad suggested calling out a plumber, yes on a Saturday night around midnight! Luckily my husband who was a plumber before he became too ill to work, suggested getting a mop and tying a plastic bag around it and using it like a plunger. I did it about 10-15 times and it solved the problem.
Eventually I got to bed with a banging headache so I took some painkillers and hoped that would be it, but I had Jeremy on my pillow and you try sleeping with a big Labrador literally on your head!
Then at 5.30am my dad gets up and starts banging doors, he is deaf and it doesn’t bother him but for me it’s too noisy. That was it Jeremy was bouncing around again.
Thankfully by 2pm Jeremy had gone home and peace was restored. That was his first time away from his home and sleeping over, so it was exciting for him. If there is a next time he better behave.
