Interruption and thoughts
For me, interruptions aren’t always annoying because they take thirty seconds. They’re annoying because I have no idea whether I’ll be able to reopen the mental door I finally managed to get through.
Sometimes returning to the task costs far more energy than the interruption itself.
I’d be interested to know whether others experience that “task re-entry” problem too and what helps.
What’s worse, I myself am an interrupter. It’s one of the beautiful traits under ADHD, but again when I’m interrupted, let’s move on to the next subject. At 2:34am I’ll remember
