Confession: I hold multiple PHDs. Not the framed-on-the-wall kind. The Projects Half Done kind.
๐ŸŽจ My "craft room" is a loving archive of someday-makes, stacked three deep. ๐Ÿšฝ My main bathroom/Laundry got a loo and some walls three years ago, and then we just... stopped. Half-renovated as a lifestyle choice. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ My office - well, too many books, old resources and a paper nighmare ๐Ÿ“ŽThe Digital Warfar on Email boxes is under control, (what an awesome accountability buddy) and dupicate files, and old downlods - all reduced by 85% - not perfect, but better ๐Ÿ˜‰
Well, the universe has spoken: real builders are arriving in 6-8 weeks. So I've given my self four weeks to get the bathroom/laundry zone builder-ready, a reduction of books/paper from the office and the craft room cleared and set so I can finally start working through the PHD list - over the NZ winter.
Here's what's different this time. I'm not waiting for motivation. We all know how that movie ends. ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ’€
๐—œ'๐—บ ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฃ๐—ฅ๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—–๐—ข๐—Ÿ๐—ฆ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ.
Motivation is a guest who turns up whenever it feels like it. A protocol is the furniture โ€” it's just there, deciding things before the day gets a chance to hijack me. No 5:55am negotiation with my warm bed. No 6pm "do I really have to." The protocol already answered. I just put my feet on the floor and show up.
So I've rebuilt my two Scoffolds for th enext four weeks - :
โ˜€๏ธ MORNING PROTOCOL โ€” 6:00 to 7:00am Craft room. Clearing and setting the space so the PHD list can actually begin. (It's pitch dark here in the NZ winter, but the room's indoors and doesn't care ๐Ÿ˜….)
๐Ÿ“ŽMID-DAY PROTOCOL - 12.00 - 1.00 PM - Office Blitz - Books/Paper reduction of space hogging redundant "stuff and things"
๐ŸŒ™ EVENING PROTOCOL โ€” 6:00 to 7:00pm Bathroom/Laundry zone. Winding down from the work day into one tangible, builder-ready win.
Cadence: weekdays. Wednesday evenings stay sacred โ€” rest is part of the plan this time, not a thing I crash into.
So here's my question for YOU (no sign-up, no calendar, no tier โ€” just a nudge): when did you last revisit your morning and evening protocols?
