💭 Reflection:
"Since my hand surgery/carpal tunnel surgery, I have had a pain that goes along the line of the thumb at the palm. I can't put weight on that. I'm not sure why. The only thing that would rest near there is the brace I have to wear for three months at night. But, if that was the case, it should hurt for a short time in the morning, not all day. I guess I'll find that out at my next appointment in a few weeks.
I'm trying to keep my hydration up. I have to go for bloodwork again in a couple weeks before an appointment with my PCP on 8/3 to make sure my kidney's are functioning properly. Apparently, my last test wasn't good, and we want to blame it on dehydrated. So now, I'm trying to drink at least 64oz of water. Better than what I was drinking.
I spent time with my youngest (18) last night molding clay blocks into some piece of art that we would eventually then bake. He is so creative and thoughtful. He made many small gifts for many different ones in our congregation and his friends. He made a penguin that looks awesome. The reason he made that? He thinks that one in our congregation is a good father to his 3 kids (14,20,23). He asked me which animal was a good father. I said a penguin because the dad is responsible for the egg (35-75 days depending on the species and does not eat during that time.). I had to look up the stats. Anyways, I thought of that because of the movie "Happy Feet". Anyways, he thinks he's doing a great job as a dad and made it for him. Maybe, I'll get a penguin someday. lol I am not creative at all. I played with this blue clay for I don't know how long. I found a mold of a bee, and pushed the clay in. Then took it out so I had a bee. I cut off the excess and rolled out a piece and turned into a heart, and remaining I made a rolled a piece out to make a "stand" for it and some clay underneath the heart to try and have it all connected. The work of a 4th grader, but I made something. lol
I slept OK. I did wake up for 1.5 hours, but still ended up with over 8 hours sleep because I didn't wake up until 10:45. Not sure what happened there. If we take the 1.5 hours out, that still was decent sleep.
I've rambled on enough. I've been feeling down the last few days and I'm not sure why. Well, we have been through a lot, but this feels different. Well, so much for a quick note or thought.
Today, I have PT for my back, and if cooler later, I'll try and work on my pool some. I still don't have it ready to swim in. I started months ago. But for doing it mostly myself in a limited stated, I think it's better than nothing. Maybe I'll have it ready for autumn. If so, I'll just keep it balanced and clear until next year and keep it up. I started with a bad case of algae and I couldn't kill it. The leaves, that I can't see on the bottom keep the algea growing. I can see the bottom currently, although still green. I'm going to try and scoop some out. However, just coming back from PT for my back and a hand that doesn't want weight on it, that will be challenging. Oh well. If we had a reliable pool company around, I'd hire them to at least get it clear and usable. Two bad experiences all ready.
I'm done for now. I promise. I'll see if I can access the new worksheet today. I wasn't able to the other day, so I let Renee/Jim know. I'll give it a shot today and see. If not, I'm not going to worry about it. I need to get caught up on my "weekly" sessions. I'm not going to let it overwhelm me, because what is the point? I hope to have it done before Jim get's back, or at least the next challenge. To those that read this far, thank you. The End."
