I’ve shared this before, but it feels important to bring it back for those who are new here… and honestly, as a reminder for all of us:
We are not broken. We do not need to be fixed.
What we’ve been labelled with—ADHD—has long carried words like deficit and disorder, and over time those words can quietly shape how we see ourselves.
But many experts, including Dr. Ned Hallowell, are challenging that narrative - and new label, a Neurodivergent affirming label, (VAST) and offering a new lens.
Dr. Hallowell often uses this metaphor, and you will have seen it in Jims work:
The goal is not to fix the engine, It's to strengthen the brakes and harness the power.

This isn’t about denying the struggles. It's about understanding them accurately.
Because the truth is:
- We don’t have a lack of attention
- We have attention that is driven by interest, meaning, and stimulation [scienceinsights.org]
- We can go from distracted… to deeply focused, even hyperfocused
- Our brains are wired for variability, not deficiency
🔄 Let’s shift the story together
Instead of seeing ourselves as “disordered,” we can start to recognise our strengths:
- Creativity and innovation
- Curiosity and deep thinking
- High energy and drive
- Emotional intensity and empathy
- Problem-solving under pressure
These aren’t flaws. They are part of how our brains are built.
Yes—there are challenges. But those challenges don’t make us broken.
They mean: 👉 we need the right tools👉 the right environments👉 and most importantly, the right understanding

If you’re new here, just remember as you go through the 5 day challenges, or deepen your understanding with the 6 Week Transformation program, remember this:
You are not bedhin. You are not “too much.”You are not failing at life.
You are learning how your brain works in a world that wasn’t designed for it.
𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆.
We’re:
- dropping shame
- challenging outdated labels
- and building a new narrative rooted in strength, awareness, and support
🌟 So let this land:
You are not broken, You are VAST.
And you are exactly where you need to be to start understanding that, and being supported by a dynamic group of community members.
