📍A note to the newbies (and the quiet watchers)
Hello you lovely humans. Debz here, waving from New Zealand.
I'm not writing this to tell you what to do. I'm writing because I remember hovering over the "register" button for the 5-Day Challenge, also registering and then going - ahhh what difference will it make and wondering whether it was just another course I'd abandon by Tuesday.
So here's an honest snapshot of what's actually shifted for me.
What the 5-Day Challenge did: It didn't fix me. Nothing fixes anyone in 5 days. What it did was crack open a question I'd been avoiding for a long time, my ikigai - does what I'm doing right now actually fit me, or do I keep looking? That single question rearranged the furniture in my head. I walked in foggy. I walked out with enough of a map to say yes to the 6-Week Program.
What I'm understanding now, five weeks in:
🧩 My brain isn't broken, it's just been running the wrong operating system. Once I stopped fighting it and started working with it, everything got easier.
🧩 I don't need more willpower. I need better scaffolding or framworks. Environment, rhythms and biology do the heavy lifting that willpower was never designed for.
🧩 Avoidance isn't laziness. It's almost always a nervous system trying to protect me from a feeling.
Name the feeling, and the task gets smaller.
🧩 Consistency beats perfection, every single time. "Never miss two days in a row" is a quieter, kinder rule than "be perfect."
🧩 The identity comes first. Behaviour follows. Not the other way around.
None of this is theory for me anymore. It's showing up in how I plan, how I recover from a wobble, how I talk to myself when something doesn't land, and how I choose what gets my energy.
What I'd say to you:
🌱 If you joined and then quietly disappeared, you are not broken, you are ADHD. The novelty wore off, something shinier appeared, life happened. Come back. You haven't missed anything you can't catch up on.
🌱 If you're hovering on the 5-Day, just do the 5 days. It's a lit match, not a lifetime contract. It might flicker out, or it might start something. You won't know until you strike it.
🌱 If you're wondering whether the 6-Week is "too much" - it's not. It's timed, structured, supported, and actually built for brains like ours.
No affiliate code. No agenda. Just one person on the inside saying this has been worth it, and if you're curious, come and be curious with us.
And for the Kiwis and Aussies, I know the classroom stuff is in the weeeee, weee hours, but maybe register, and do the replays, - you will still learn heaps. If you have any questions, just give me a comment and I will aim to share -
Strike the match. See what happens.
Ciao for now ✨ Debz
