[Critique Request] Book title opinion
I've been thinking about John's "Write a book alongside me" post. And asking myself, "what book could I write?" I landed on a concept based on a few intersections in my personal experience. 1. I'm an introvert and I've had to work at small talk. 2. Small talk is how I made my first $5K on the internet. 3. I enjoy the process of problem discovery / problem finding. Also, talking feels like a nice human compliment to "just use AI" for everything. So many good product ideas get missed because people don’t realize what they’re hearing. And I thought I might write a book to help solo creators notice and leverage those moments. Below are a few titles I came up: Mind voting for your favorite? I'll also take any feedback!

In my previous career, I had to master small talk, as I attended a lot of networking conferences each year, and all you do there the entire day is small talk. The better you are at it, the more likely people are to remember you, and the greater the chance of bringing in new business down the road. I didn’t necessarily see small talk itself as a profit-generating opportunities (business was revolving around law), but I would have liked to have some kind of resource to make it more fun/ easier. To me, the first title speaks to that desire for fun.
How to tap into a 50k paused newsletter?
This morning, a creator in a very similar niche to mine announced to his 50,000 subscriber list that he’s indefinitely pausing his newsletter. It feels like there could be a real opportunity here to attract some of his audience over to my list but I’m not quite sure the best way to approach it. Has anyone here struck deals in similar situations? i.e. bought, rented, or partnered with someone else's dormant list? I’ve heard the term “list splintering” used for situations like this, though I’m not 100% sure what that is. I could reach out to him and propose something like, “What if I take over your list for 6 months and we split any profits?”. But part of me would rather focus on growing my list long-term and moving subs from his list to mine if possible. The good news is I already have a relationship with this guy. He knows who I am and we’ve had a few friendly exchanges. Curious to hear if anyone’s navigated something like this or has ideas for angles I might not have thought of. All thoughts gratefully received!

I remember that Kieran Drew wrote in one of his emails (last summer I think) that he bought someone's list and detailed how he did the transition. Unfortunately, I don't really remember details, how he phased the transition, and whether it paid off in the end.
I have a new book
Guys I finally published my new book I will be promoting it endlessly in my upcoming emails, but if you want to be one of the first to read it, here's the link: https://bejakovic.com/new10commandments P.S. If you were one of my early beta-readers, I will be shipping you a paperback copy, as soon as Amazon gets it out of "IN REVIEW" status. But if you want to read it before that, there's always the Kindle version...

Next Thursday: Chavy Helfgott shows you how to get clients on LinkedIn
Next Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 8pm CET/2pm EST/11am PST, our own @Chavy Helfgott will be doing a special training exclusively for Daily Email House members. The name: "How to get clients on LinkedIn, without cold pitching every new connection or becoming an AI-fueled clickbait ninja" For reference, this is how Chavy built up her copywriting and marketing consultant business in the past, and how she's been doing it over the past year as well. In other words, it's a topic she knows a lot about from direct experience and experimentation. If you'd like to find out Chavy's process for landing clients on LinkedIn, you can register for the call below: How to get clients on LinkedIn And yes, there will be a recording if you register. But if you can at all make it live on Thursday, you'll likely to benefit more, and the presentation will be cooler. I hope to see you there.

I really like this idea :). Just to clarify, is it on the 3rd or the 8th?
[Hot seats] Break from your circle and into another industry
All right, let's try exploding out of our own familiar circles. Following up on the conversations here and here, let's see if we can't use the collective mind here to suggest good options for new niches or markets for the brave members who choose to comment below. If you would like to participate in the "hot seat" and get others' recommendations, please comment below with: 1. What you feel your core skills or assets are that could be useful to others 2. Who your current customers or clients are (can be several niches or just one) 3. What you do now that you would like to do more of And if you'd like to make recommendations, comment on the the "hot seat" comment with what new niches could be an option for the person in the hot seat... plus any explanation if you feel it's needed. I will put my own butt in the hot seat as well, but I'd like to see other folks participate first.
