Black & Brown vs. Navy & Black — When Do They Actually Work?
I’ve always been fascinated by how some color combos that shouldn’t work actually look amazing when done right. Take this look for example (photo attached): - Black shirt - Black trousers - Brown loafers - Brown belt - Brown leather-strap watch To me, this combo just feels balanced and refined — the brown adds warmth without breaking the black’s clean tone. But when it comes to navy and black, I can’t think of a single outfit where they work this effortlessly. So what’s the key here? When do brown + black or navy + black work together, and when do they clash? Is it about contrast, texture, or how the tones balance each other?

Ok, I'll disagree then. I had a navy suit with black shirt in mind, so I used google image search to look for "outfit navy black". The results are not bad at all, like blue jeans with black polo, navy suit with black turtleneck pullover, black suit pants with navy v-neck pullover over a white shirt etc. Then we have the classic navy with black leather options, and police uniforms. Then again reminds me of a recent speach of our sales director, he had a dark red suit with a black shirt and all I could think of while listening was that those colors make look him pale and with the strong contrats of his skin/hair he should also wear more contrast. But I would never toss out a color or combination of colors because of generalized statements.

Not really a "signature move" but from this group I have learned about high quality materials. Like genuine leather, kashmer, silk. It's this silent luxury thing that when people recognize it...

I wanted to try a new carry method this fall/winter. I recently picked up a shoulder holster. I have leaned that it does not pair well with my suits. I would need to get a much larger suit jacket which I do not plan on doing. But it seems to pair well with vest and jackets. So, I’m testing it out on a shirt today. Blue/white strip CT shirt Brown chinos Navy blazer Brown Anson belt Brown Thursday boots

Purpose forfilled. Have you tried a bomber vest? The fall of the fabric makes you look less fit than you are. Maybe a bomber vest would fall straighter (don't know if this makes sense)

and don't get me wrong, it does look good.
Setting myself up for the future
As many of you already know, I am still in school. However, this does not mean that I am not responsible or disciplined enough to think about my future (I'm sure that is very clear considering my presence in this very wonderful community at a young age like mine). So after a freshman year of nonsense classes... A Sophomore year of heartbreak and basic required classes... And a truly eye-opening, "get-your-shit-together-and-be-an-adult-at-17," Junior year... My senior year is filled with nothing but classes that are specifically chosen to benefit my future goals, and passions (specifically financially and career wise). GOAL CAREER: Personal Sport & General Fitness Coach (Via Online or In person) Current classes: -Sports medicine I & II (Physiotherapy) -Social Media Marketing -Anatomy & Physiology -Buisness Operations -Entrepreneurship (Next semester hopefully 🙏🏻) Wish me luck! 🙌🏻

@Daniel Vellone I started a long fitness journey along my office days. I really wish I had a education in physical therapy. Now, as a side thing it's impossible to financily do. The thing is, in physical therapy you will not run out of clients, earn good money helping people, and even if you want to be a strength and conditioning coach, it will give you huge credential and credibility.

Upgrade Option 2: Suede moc-toe derbies in beige/tan → keeps softness but adds polish. Smart Casual Alternative: White minimalist leather sneakers. Watches: 1.
