Hey y'all, we are growing really fast - and unfortunately, that growth means sometimes people get into the community and use it to try to sell or scam others. If someone DMs you from this group and asks you for your number or whatsapp or telegram or whatever, or tries to sell you something or just seems sus, PLEASE report them to myself or @Rex Loyer. We have strategies in place to stop these people from making it in, but sometimes they fall through the cracks. We're doing our best to keep this a safe space without allowing in anyone bad. But unfortunately, this is the internet, and bots and scammers are getting more complex! Help us keep the community safe!

The RSD struggle is real
I’m doing everything right now to remind myself that I need to focus on facts and actions rather than my feelings when RSD starts to take over the show but I’m really struggling with it right now as I’m dealing with someone who’s communication and behaviours have gone from being consistent and clear, to being inconsistent and vague at best. It’s left me with such a sense of uncertainty and I can feel a familiar desire to provoke a fight purely to get answers and the certainty that comes with that (even if it means getting answers that I don’t like). I’d love to know how others deal with RSD, uncertainty and more specifically how you ask people in your life for support. The sense of shame I feel for not being able to handle how disregulated I get when someone is being inconsistent, is so overwhelming. I’m proud of myself for at least being able to notice this right now and not be acting out, but the struggle is real and the temptation to defuse myself through provoking an argument is so strong. Help! I need advice!

@Lydia Wilmsen may I ask what the root cause is out of your experience? Or is that different from person to person?

@Lydia Wilmsen those are for sure some valid roots 😉. Just it's often connected to AD(H)D. Which as well seems to have to do with brain areas, that develope different. While nd people can react more sensitive to stimuli that others don't perceive as triggers. And while imprinting in our childhood in itself can change even our neurology for sure. So my question would be, if you see this mainly rooted in schemas developed in developmental periods.

Thank you for the add! I’m also undiagnosed…but it’s just a label anyway right? I function, and then I stop doing things, because I need that body double. Not anyone to help me, just be there on the sidelines Not to watch, or critique or offer suggestions (only if I ask 😂) Tell me what to do? You better not! I’ll then refuse! 😂 So why do I do and what’s my plan? I currently have my own massage practice and am adding coaching to my services. I love helping people, it is so rewarding what I make a positive impact in someone’s life. Physical, emotional or mental pain relief is just so amazing and the gratitude I feel with them is so powerful! We both raise our vibration and frequency which keeps the positive momentum going! So glad to have some new connections here!!

Great to see you here as well. Words are lables. Different or unique (however you wanna label it) brains are just the way you are.. and how you process and experience your world. I also don't wanna lable just to lable. In that case more important than that different strategies make so much sense. To support your own unique preferences best 😉.

@Kim Reyes I actually ment that your neurology and biochemistry is specific. And that has nothing to do with how you name it 😉. It doesn't matter if one labels himself adhd but the neurology is not like that. If yours is, you for sure don't need to depend on that name, but you can realize and do what's most beneficial for you. If that makes sense. That's the reason I don't try to diagnose people but spot patterns. People are different. Always. Just to me patterns routed in our nervous system are actually very important to calibrate. No matter if I give it a name or not.
What does 1% daily effort look like?
In Atomic habits, James Clear suggest a 1% improvement each day can compound to 3700% leverage in a year. I thought about a series to share my tweaks that had drastic effects in my life. Let me know if you guys like more suggestions. I been using a simple extension for over two months now, and been consistent with my habits. That way, you get dopamine in completing tasks without the need of switching to another tab, having another checklist to switch to to check off. Let me know if this helped out.
