Got overwhelmed by depression this whole week and did nothing. Hoping next week will be better
Don't Get Kicked Out 😱
I need action takers. Comment Below 👇 Everyone here signed up for a reason. You have the tools and support right here to make a difference. But only 35% (Approx 35 people out of 100) are taking action. And only around 5 % are engaging in the community, asking questions or for support, making commitments to the actions they need to do. If you need skin in the game to help you take action then check out the 7 day free trial of my paid membership by clicking here I will have to remove members who have been completely inactive for over a month or so because our rankings within Skool get absolutely crushed if you have a high percentage of inactive community members. The higher we rank as a community, the bigger impact we have, the more people we reach - and ranking is all based on engagement. Having said all this - What action will you be taking as we start a fresh week? 1 simple consistent action. Let us know below 👇

I'm sorry russ but one of the main reasons I joined this group is because I'm prone to depression because of my family and marital situation and sometimes the depression gets the better of me. This week has been very very hard and I had trouble motivating myself. Hopefully this coming week will be easier

I'm not a Pilates Instructor because "I just love Pilates" like a vast majority. I've recovered myself from a long list of injuries over time. The more serious you can see below. The worst and most debilitating, for the longest period by far, chronic back pain..bulging L5 S1 disc, worn to the condition expected of a 50 year old manual labourer, at age 25. Along with what you see and related issues, I've had various other strains, pulls and repetitive issues over the years. Pilates and the other elements of my approach to staying active and recovering from injury has solved or helped me come back from problems time and again. How does your list look, and what consistent action have you taken to build yourself back up? Because consistency is key. I've spoken to many for whom Pilates didn't "work for them", but when you dig under the surface, they did it inconsistently for a bit in a non-progressive way, without addressing other lifestyle factors. Get that right and you'll significantly improve your situation 🙌 Need help? Please shout! Keep moving, it's usually the answer. Russ

Question- do pilates help with weight loss. I'm on the edge of overweight and obese

I'm already on a diet that I able to lose 45 pounds. However I gained 25 back because of stress in my life but in going back to it with some exercise (peloton cycling and pilates) and I'm hoping it'll take care of the stress so that I can actually lose weight.
Are You Doing What You Need To Be?
Drop one thing in the comments that you know you need to do but aren't or might not, without some accountability! One thing which will have a positive impact on your health, fitness or life 👇 Most of us know what we should be doing, but we're often not doing it, or we have messed up priorities. Drop what you know you should do in the comments and we will hold you accountable to have achieved this "thing" with a check in on Sunday, BUT - make it realistic, don't commit the world and then stress, or even worse HIDE from the fact you haven't done it. Lots of people in this community (and the entire world) have a problem, they also have the solution to improve the problem, start strong, then quickly fade away in to ghost mode. Not doing the thing to solve the problem. Then after a while try something else because the thing that they didn't really "do" unsurprisingly "didn't work". Need more help? I'm here 👋

@Donna Koch look into that more. I've done some research on intermittent fasting a while back and I found out that it doesn't need to be a complete fast. Maybe a coffee won't break the fasting. I don't remember the exact rules but I do remember that things like a cup of water don't count.

Thank you @Donna Koch nice to meet you. I'm 53 and overweight and I really want to get into shape. I'm a teacher so I don't get much exercise. By the time I get home I'm so exhausted, it's a challenge to motivate myself and do the exercises. However, I'll check in every day and let you know if I beat my exhaustion or not. Hopefully I'll get more wins than losses.

That's not a bad idea. I'll give it a shot. Thank you.
