its tough but we got this!
wow last night finally some restful sleep putting all the stress in check and letting go of what i can't see yet or conquer just feeling calm and not anxious.... For a week i felt like i was the rabbit on the treadmill just wishing i could slow down my thoughts and find me again. I really like it when I do. I made myself a focus wheel to remind me of healthy and strong !

I can’t tell you many synchronicities have crossed my path in the last few weeks. I was looking for a way to focus my mind and attention before going to bed as my sleep has not been good lately. I wasn’t happy with just creating a list and last night I kept seeing a circular shape in my mind. This is perfect Judy! I love it! By being a circle each topic is balanced. Before I even saw this I got some Valarian Root tea to try tonight because it’s supposed to be good for sleep. I going to work on my wheel of focus before I go to bed tonight and sip my sleep tea! 😃
Changes in Sleep
So I noticed something different about my sleep almost immediately after starting this group. I'm not necessarily sleeping more hours. However, I started dreaming again. It's been over a decade since I dreamt anything more than a rare nightmare. Now I often have multiple dreams that I can recall most nights. That tells me there's a change in quality of sleep. I'm on the right track!

That is wonderful Ann! I believe I noticed that too when I first start this group. I need to get myself back to being intentional about my sleep so I can dream again. You should keep a dream journal by your bed if you want. I like to have something close by to jot down notes for anything I can remember from my dreams.
The State Of Things
Hey Sleepy Family, I know life might feel heavy right now. A lot of stress. A lot of noise. A lot of people carrying more than they’re admitting while trying to stay functional, productive, and “fine” while quietly running on fumes. I just released a new video called “Owning Our Side, Regulating Ourselves, and Moving Through the World with Integrity” (you could also call it The State of Things). In it, I talk about something I believe matters more than ever right now: 👉 tending to our own inner world so we don’t stack stress, live in reaction, or take our unprocessed stuff out on others. The Video is Attached below if you'd like to check it out. Have a nice weekend, Daniel 🌿

Where is the “love” button for this video?! This has got to be my favorite of the ones I have seen, Daniel, and in divine timing too! 🙏 The world IS heavy right now and just when it seems to be getting better, something else comes up for more distraction, causing more sleepless nights and more chaos. As you said if we keep try to bury these feelings of anxiety and not deal with them the universe will intervene. It’s happened to me and I have seen it happen to others. Going inward is the key. I’m still a work in progress but I try to take each day as it comes and do my best. Thank you again for this insightful reminder!
Breaking Free From "Never Doing Enough"
II just released a new YouTube video where I break the cycle of never doing enough in a nervous-system-friendly way and share a simple tool to interrupt the cycle without more discipline, shame, or “trying harder.” It Explore • Why this isn’t a productivity problem (it’s self-abandonment) • The emotional beliefs that keep people stuck in over-drive • Why collapse and guilt are normal nervous system responses • A 3-step practice I call The Compassionate Pivot to help you meet yourself differently when things fall apart This work is about learning how to stop punishing yourself when you’re overwhelmed and start building trust with your body instead. Let me know what you learn!

Oh boy, just seeing the title of this, I know it is something I need! I will prioritize watching it today!
Happy New Year Sleep Family!
Lets take the opportunity to check in and make intentions for what we would like to create this year: What are you most proud of in 2025? What is a new awareness you've gained? How will you honor what you've learned into this coming year? What is 1 place of growth you are committed to this year? Lets share, inspire and support one another below:)

I have learned so much in this space about my sleep or lack of. I think the biggest difference is I listen to myself right before I go to bed. Do I feel safe? Do I feel comfortable? Do I feel peaceful? If the answer is no, I try to give myself what it needs to be in a peaceful, comfortable, safe space to rest. I say a lot of these things out loud which has helped. I am taking these helpful lessons into this new year with intention and to hopefully add to it. 🙏
