Scaleable?
Hi All, Just joined the group and interested in something long term if it’s scaleable. I’d be interested in knowing how long you’ve been doing this for and how much you currently earn in revenue?

@George Fitzgerald No, I don’t run ads at all except for the offsite ones. I did at the very start for a few months but found them just eating into profit and so started trying to angle my strategy towards better products, mockups and keywords. However I know some do find ads a beneficial expense, I’ve just found at this point it’s best for me to stay away from paid ads until my Shopify store is ready 🤷‍♂️

@Jasper Hall Cheers man, this is my main store which has just over 1,500 listings atm, had about 500 visits daily recently but it’s not super consistent tbh!

Midjourney
Anyone here using Midjourney found paying for the Pro subscription plan worth it over the Standard one? I am considering upgrading

@Mihai Volintiriu well if you’re ever curious, I upgraded earlier and was experimenting for a couple hours and tbf the upgrade is not that noticeable for an extra $30. I will probably go back to standard
Mock ups
Did anyone else decide then didn’t like their main mock up after listing 165 items then spend 3 hours updating the whole store with a new one for each listing? Just me?🤣 If you’re starting out make sure you nail your first listing because if you’re copying the listing for similar items it’s a real ball ache🫠

Returns / Refunds BEWARE
I have noticed a trend going on lately that I feel I need to make you aware of, in case you weren’t. With the raise of AI, cheeky customers can alter the product images to make the look damaged. As a shop owner you need to be vigilant about this. In my 1.5 years of selling, I have dealt with a few shady customers trying to make false claims. As AI struggles to replicate text or be consistent, you can do the following: ask the customer to send multiple images of the damage from different angles or you can ask them to send a photo of the damage with the shipping label in the same frame. If you offer returns, never refund until you received the return; it is Etsy’s policy. Most will turn cold feet and never respond back. You risk a bad review but they can leave it either way if they have bad intentions. As it happened to me recently, she refused to cooperate by sending me the proof and left a 1 star review w/o context instead, just because 🤷🏻‍♂️ Build a strong customer service to have a comfortable cushion for these kind of situations. https://youtu.be/ZlGsfMYQMfU?si=zE6PMPvMRJqeLA9x
