Ready, set, begin!
How to start a new habit: - Lower friction: lay out workout clothes, set up your space, cue your playlist. - Start easy: 10 minutes, bodyweight. consistency > intensity. - Reframe challenges: treat a "difficult task” as neutral data, not judgment. What's one thing you intend to get 1% better at this week? Let me know!

hard boiled eggs are so easy - i actually don't eat the yolks tho! but you can boil a bunch and just have em in the bowl in the fridge for a few days - easy grab and go! my other trick - salmon burgers from costco, we cook them but then chop em up and put on top of salad or with steamed broccoli, no buns required :D
Soreness
Feeling sore after your workout is normal. Let’s focus on low effort, high ROI recovery: 1. Hydration -front load it early in the day; set an alarm 2. High quality protein sources 3. Posture (stack ears over shoulders over rib cage over pelvis) and 3 rounds expansive breaths-set alarm!

omg you guys i just tried alyssa's technique intro thingy and i could NOT get my knee to the ground (around 1min 30 seconds in on the video i think) :D ... (but rather than say "i'm so outta shape, i'm going to take Alyssa's advice and say "I can't wait to see how much I improve over the next 8 weeks!"

1. Medieval Times with a bunch of coworkers, we broke away from working at Pokemon Worlds in Anaheim! :) 2. Hi! I'm the mom with the littles!! :D I have no boundaries and have a really hard time figuring out how to break away from them/my husband without feeling guilty to workout etc because he already carries the lion's share of the parenting due to my work!

Hey all! I'm Renee. I'm 47, married with two daughters - soon to be 7 year old (Elsie) and a 3.5 year old (Emi). I'm a workaholic and have no boundaries with my kids (they still sleep in my bed, my dog, too!). I put on 20 lbs with my kids and momming - you know, eating all their leftovers cuz "I can't stand to see it go to waste".. I'm ready to get rid of all of it! Previously, I was running 5 miles a day down by Alki, hiking, roadtripping, hobby-photographing, and now I'm lucky to get 200 steps in - usually walking from my desk to the bathroom and back. I ran 3.5 miles today and could feel my body in my body wanting to burn through all the extra load on my spirit and energy. Let's go!!!!
