Mornig, afternoon of evening warrior?
Hi all! I'm just wondering when is your time to sit on the bike and train - is it early morning, somewhere during afternoon or late evening? For me the long rides work best early morning but it usually happens during weekends. During the week I usually get on at the evening which can be really challenging :D Yea, I think, I can wake up early and jump on the bike early morning but I'm really not sure how I would finish some hi intesity intervals at 4 or 5 am and then do something else without sleeping for nex 2 hours :D Any experiences?

For me it's early morning every time. Hard to drag myself out of bed, but even harder in the evening after work. I get through the day fine now, did take take a while to get use to, but now it's a great way to start the day.

Hi Coach Rhys, I've got a question, here goes 😊. I've stagnanted haven't progressed FTP for a while now. Riding the following structure on repeat for about a year, average 10 hours a week. With a 3/4 time week every 4 to 5 weeks. Monday Z2 Tuesday vo2max session alternate weeks 30/15's then 60/30's Wednesday Z2 Friday Z3 or SS or short sprints or another vo2max mix it up a little. Saturday Long Z2 approx 4hrs with a push at the end. Any suggestions on what to change to progress FTP mainly V2 power, and vo2max again? Or have I hit a ceiling limit. In my 50's recovery takes work and time. I've already come a long long way in 3+years and am quite happy, would just like to progress a bit further then maintain, any guidance is highly appreciated. Thanks

@Rhyss Murty Thanks, a few things for me to answer and think about there. - Current FTP trend: Has it flatlined for 3+ months? ---Yes - VO2max power repeatability: Are you hitting the same watts as 6 months ago?---NO has fluctuated from same to lower, and failed some of the 30/15 sessions. - Resting HR / HRV / RPE trends: Any signs of overreaching or under-recovery?---Not sure haven't takes resting HR for a while now, better do that, lost the ease of ability to check. Your probably correct some overreaching happening. Now to work out how to control that, and recover better.

Hi have just found your youtube page which linked me to this skool community. In my 50's from Melbourne Australia. Biggest goal is to stay motivated to keep on riding, improve or maintain fitness and lose and control my weight.

@For Cyclers Having troubles working out how to incorporate vo2 max and a strength sweet spot type session and what type of sessions will work best eg, 30/15s or 60/30's or something else, and z3/z4 efforts in the 1 week with time to recover and ride in Z2 without too much fatigue. And right now keeping motivated enough to drag myself out of bed on these cold winter mornings onto the trainer which is outside 🥶.
Is Strava Ruining Your Training?
Strava is fun. It’s social. It’s motivating. But let’s be honest: How many times have you pushed harder than you should have just because someone might see your ride? You’re supposed to be riding in Zone 2… But you see a hill… And now you’re chasing a KOM…... and your recovery ride just became a threshold effort. Let’s open the discussion 👇 1. Have you ever felt Strava pressure affecting your pacing? 2. Do you ever hide rides or set them to private to stay disciplined? 3. Should serious cyclists stop using Strava entirely or learn to use it differently? Share your honest thoughts. No judgment. Just raw feedback from real riders.

@For Cyclers Trying to avoid those little arrows and time/km's is hard, but if your quick and dont want too see friends activities go direct into my activities edit the ride then leave. I then review the ride and week in intervals.icu
