🔥 DEBATE OF THE WEEK
"Indoor cycling is cheating — real progress only happens on the road." With Zwift, TrainerRoad, and smart trainers, more and more riders barely go outside anymore… But is that really the same as riding out in the wind, the hills, and the chaos of real roads? 🌧️ Is indoor riding a powerful training tool… or just a comfort zone that slows down real progress?🤔 Do you prefer sweating in your living room or battling the elements? Make your case below 👇

@Orlando Petrucci cool, Are you currently seeing progress in your training? Or on the flip side… are you feeling stuck, low on motivation, or unsure about things…?

@Orlando Petrucci got it, stacked schedule?
Is Strava Ruining Your Training?
Strava is fun. It’s social. It’s motivating. But let’s be honest: How many times have you pushed harder than you should have just because someone might see your ride? You’re supposed to be riding in Zone 2… But you see a hill… And now you’re chasing a KOM…... and your recovery ride just became a threshold effort. Let’s open the discussion 👇 1. Have you ever felt Strava pressure affecting your pacing? 2. Do you ever hide rides or set them to private to stay disciplined? 3. Should serious cyclists stop using Strava entirely or learn to use it differently? Share your honest thoughts. No judgment. Just raw feedback from real riders.

@Olivier Stora That's a really balanced perspective! Using Strava for consistency and gleaning insights from pro profiles while being mindful of its pitfalls with intensity is a smart approach. Curating what you publish, focusing on races and memorable rides rather than every single training session sounds like a great way to manage the "Strava pressure" while still enjoying the social and motivational aspects. Has that shift in what you share changed how you feel about your daily training rides at all?

@Peter Steward those weekly up/down arrows for time and kms can be such a subtle (or not-so-subtle!) nudge from Strava to always do 'more'! It takes real discipline to ignore that and stick to your own plan, especially when you see those metrics. What strategies do you find most helpful for tuning out that "Strava push" and focusing on what your body actually needs for training and recovery that day?
