5.21.25 - Ease your lower back
I got a little heady and wordy in my explanation here. Your lower back get tight from sitting all day as your hip flexors shorten and pull on the spine and cause hyper lordosis or anterior pelvic tilt. We combat this NOT by only stretching the anterior hips and psoas… we do it by using the glutes and hamstrings and hip extensors to lengthen the psoas. This video shows you how… This is extremely counter intuitive and why many people persist in lower back pain for years.

I’ve been pounding the job hours the last 2 weeks and last week pulled my lower back and right shoulder somehow. So I’ve been exhausted doing more a scattered 10 min AOMs each night focusing on my back by working towards the back bridge. I think even the little I’m doing is helping me maintain looseness on the job—especially in physical restraints. Definitely feeling it now in the lower back.

I apologize for some of the audio in this one. I’ll get better audio isolation. So yeah… I don’t really use gym attire and I end up doing AOM flows just about anywhere as you’ll see. Since we have lived in an RV for 5 years I’ve gotten used to making sure I get my AOMs in regardless of where we may be. Today felt amazing…. Love grass fed AOM! Sometimes I AOM in the evening so you may want to use the day before AOM and stay a day behind if your a morning AOM artist.

I will likely be mixing my AOM up between AM and PM… Take away from this was —if you don’t use your range of motion, you lose it.
