Day 13/21!
Who used a scale this week when prioritizing protein What did you notice? Did it change how much you thought you were eating? Did anything shift with hunger, energy, or fullness? #Day 13 - 21 Day Habit Reset It’s the end of week two, instead of checking out, check in! When we get uncomfortable and push past the I don’t want toos, and do it anyways, that’s where the real magic happens! SHARE! SHARE! SHARE! Even when you don’t want to. You never know who you are encouraging. 💕

I don't have a scale but I do measure the portion in relation to the palm of my hand. I really did prioritize protein over the past few weeks and I felt full with a lot more energy! It fueled my workouts! I'm going to try to keep this habit as part of my daily nutrition. I find if I focus on the protein (getting at least 130g per day) then the rest will just fall into place. I don't want to overthink it or I will start to obsess about it and likely fail. I feel a sense of accomplishment too (Confidence builder) when I achieve that target in protein! It also makes me so full that I don't want to snack at night which is my biggest challenge to date! I've also wanted to make homemade hummus! I'll have to try out this recipe! Thanks for sharing!
Check in - how is everyone going?
Hey crew, I loved connecting with you on the opening call and I’m wondering how everyone is going with the challenge. I’d love an update. For me, I’m hitting an average of 10,000 steps a day for the week, and I’m challenging myself to hit them daily (which will be interesting with the upcoming downpours we have forecasted, so must get creative 🤓). My nutrition is also been going well, and I’ve noticed how more mindful I’ve become when looking at my plate and considering my veggie intake. My confidence goal - well I still am resisting journaling, even though I know how good it is for me. I think I will set up a special space for me to do it, so that it cues me to do it. If anyone has pointers on how to force themselves to journal, I’d love any 💗

Good for you on your steps! That's a struggle for me too! ha! ha! I struggle with the idea of journaling as well. I purchased a "gratitude journal" that I've been consistently filling out every morning. (I reference the day before) It only takes about 5 minutes and that's why I feel I've been able to achieve this habit so far! Just a thought for you....if you wanted to start with baby steps! My nutrition has been about 70% good but I'm not going to beat myself up about it when I detour. I just tell myself that tomorrow I will do better!

I am a "chip" lover like you Melanie!!! I could live off of them! I love the crunch! SOOOoooo......I'm not sure if you heard of these! They are called "Broghies"! I've realized that I can substitute these when I'm having that Chip craving. I usually break them apart and dip them in hummus, homemade tzatziki or any other healthy dip! I went for a chilly, windy walk with Lincoln! If you look at the top right of the pic with him in it, you’ll notice what looks like a bird! (I thought it was cool!) The next pic made me laugh! “RIP Frosty!” 🤣😂☃️❄️ It feels so good to get outside and take it all in! 🥰

This is a first for me! I did watch the video with Katie from Wed. (It was great...loved the poems too!) I couldn't attend the zoom but I did the two exercises and was blown away on what I put on paper! I never knew I had it in me. I did this exercise this morning. My pen didn't stop. " I don't remember when the little girl I was stopped believing she could do and be whatever she wanted. When did her imagination leave her and where did the world interrupt her playfulness? Where is the girl that looked to the stars and believed in magic and fairytales." I did keep on writing more throughout the 10 minutes but it's the gist of what was coming to me. I ended it with "I will remember you!" This exercise of "Journaling" really has inspired me! I really thought that I wouldn't have anything to write! Thank you for introducing this to me! xo
