My Morning experiment
After last nights workshop I decided I would actually measure this morning. I swear I’m not a Costco salesperson but I’ve been buying this pancake mix from them for months and I think they’re on sale this week as well. With these two pancakes, it’s 2/3c of mix, 1c of protein soy milk and 1/2c of cottage cheese = 43g of protein (47g of carbs) I 100% am not a calorie counter and will probably won’t become one, but it’s 4am I’m on day 4 of sleepless nights so I thought I’d do some math this morning.

I’m trialling adding more veggies to my meals (which is great because this was my nutrition focus for the challenge :)) For breakfast, I added some celery and tomatoes as a side to my omelette (which had red and yellow peppers, mushrooms and spinach). For dinner, I made a side cucumber salad to go with a new dish I made - One Pot Chinese Chicken and Rice. It was so easy and super tasty!

Check in - how is everyone going?
Hey crew, I loved connecting with you on the opening call and I’m wondering how everyone is going with the challenge. I’d love an update. For me, I’m hitting an average of 10,000 steps a day for the week, and I’m challenging myself to hit them daily (which will be interesting with the upcoming downpours we have forecasted, so must get creative 🤓). My nutrition is also been going well, and I’ve noticed how more mindful I’ve become when looking at my plate and considering my veggie intake. My confidence goal - well I still am resisting journaling, even though I know how good it is for me. I think I will set up a special space for me to do it, so that it cues me to do it. If anyone has pointers on how to force themselves to journal, I’d love any 💗
Day 7!!
Hi everyone! You’ve officially made it through Week One of the 21 Day Habit Reset and before we rush ahead, I want to invite you to pause for a moment.Week one is rarely about perfection. It’s about awareness. It’s about noticing: • what felt easier than expected • what felt uncomfortable or resistant • what habits you naturally returned to • what surprised you about yourself For some of you, week one felt energizing. For others, it may have felt messy, emotional, or slower than you hoped. All of that is normal. This is the part of change we don’t talk about enough, the part where your nervous system is learning something new, where old patterns get poked, and where awareness starts to grow before momentum does. As you head into the next few days, I invite you to reflect on a few simple questions (you can journal these, think them through on a walk, or just sit with them): • What is one small win from this week that you might normally overlook? • What habit felt the most supportive to your day or your energy? • What felt hard and what might that be teaching you? • If nothing changed except your awareness, what have you learned so far? This isn’t about forcing yourself into a system it’s about building systems that support you. As we move into week two, keep it simple. Keep stacking the wins. Keep showing up in the way that feels doable, not dramatic. And if you haven’t shared yet in the community, even a short check-in, I encourage you to do that this week. Connection matters more than consistency. I’m really excited of the work you’re doing, even the quiet parts. Let’s keep growing, together. Melanie 💛 #Day 7 - 21 Day Habit Reset
Day 7!!

Hi all, This week has shown me that I can achieve small goals that I set for myself. My walking habits have been fairly good - I am doing way more walking than I previously did. I wasn't well yesterday, and took a full day of rest, so that impacted my daily average, but I'm not letting that impact the rest of the week. My highest step count was 21,980 on Wednesday :) This week, I'm going to plan for not being able to walk (we are forecasted a lot of rain). Today, I did a step aerobic class on Youtube to get my heart rate and steps up. I'm sitting at only 4317, but I think I can get more in, even if that's pacing around my house lol. I'm also looking to plan my meals and see how many veggies I can get in. Tonight, I'm making Marry Me Chickpeas with quinoa. Here's the recipe for anyone interested: https://www.noracooks.com/marry-me-chickpeas/#wprm-recipe-container-24034 How is everyone else doing?

Here is what the recipe turned out to be like. I served it with some quinoa and a simple cucumber salad.
