Just because you carry it well doesn’t mean it’s not heavy.
If you’re living with IBD, IBS, or any chronic health condition, I want you to know: it’s okay to admit it’s hard. Carrying pain or fatigue day after day takes a lot, even if from the outside you look “fine.” So give yourself breaks when you can. Nourish your body with foods that feel both delicious and supportive. Let your mind slip into rest mode without guilt. And don’t worry if it feels impossible to get it all “right” at once — this is your path, and you’ll walk it in your own way. There’s no need to compare your journey to anyone else’s. You can heal. Keep that in mind. Big hug. Your strength inspires, but your rest matters just as much.
Just because you carry it well doesn’t mean it’s not heavy.

Thanks, I needed to hear this. I'm always trying to do everything all the time. It's too much. I find it hard to just let myself rest sometimes, but I always feel better when I do and my inflammation seems to calm.
My Breakfast!
Let's get all of you eating like this (in your own designed version). PS: Our first HDS is next Monday.

Was camping in an RV camper last week and cooking up big delicious breakfasts in the same vein! Having to buy everything fresh feels like it made a difference compared to lots of frozen options at home.
Mindful Eating
@Courtney Doll Your mindful eating suggestion is having its way with me. I find myself very calm, standing at my kitchen sink/window with a snack of some sort - hard boiled egg, carrots, whatever.... and look out the window and have a lil meditation. I think of you and what you said on your video - eating slow, chewing more, breathe, quietness.... and the fact that I love my kitchen window is making it a lovely experience. Thought I let you know that you make a difference. Thank You!

I was away from home for a week and was doing this every day for every meal. It was really nice, thanks for the reminder to adopt this at home as well.
