After mudding my way through sharing about the awesome auction power and hitting a wall. (I have been posting the success/fails in group). I posted what I wrote and Travis responded. Thinking it was pointless after my botched try to use the gold from Travis, I let a bit of time pass, but yesterday I thot "I'm not giving up" so I responded to another email offer from the same influencer and wrote it off...(edited to show what I sent) I put my own spin on the opening, the rest was from the genius. I didn't mean to leave you hanging mate. Took this email to remind me about Superfun Auction Way to turn your $10 Buyers into $1000 Sales! I've Got a Superfun Way to turn your $10 Buyers into $1000 Sales! Here's My Offer: For every $10,000 I send in sales shoot over $2500 to me AFTER the money is in your bank account. I've put more deets and examples on a Loom Vid, would it make any sense to send it? A quick “yes” or no is cool. I got this response about an hour ago! Hey Michael, hope you are well mate! your sending me an offer but your only giving yourself 25% commissions! What's the catc here, you sending me 10k in SALES and i send you 2.5k once i've got it - what ar you proposing my friend haha always open to ideas! I consider this a huge win for refusing to quit taking action, but finally doing it like the Ronin dojo Master has been patiently teaching us.

Full transparency..I know it's not rocket science, but i have no clue on how to close this out..i think im on the green..but I don't know if i should tap it a bit closer or just long putt for the hole
I made more money DMing auction commenters before the auction than from the auction itself
When I ran my Dead Group Goldmine auction, I made more money by talking to people who commented on my pre-auction post. DM'd every commenter: "Hey [Name]! Thanks for commenting on my post about the dormant group auction. Do you have a group that's been sitting dormant, or are you thinking about starting one?" When they answered, I used X-ray T2 and dug deeper. Whatever they say, your job is to dig deeper. - "Tell me more about that..." - "What else is important to you?" - Get SPECIFIC about what they want Keep them talking. It's rarely the first thing they tell you. The conversations will tell you: - What language THEY use (not your assumptions) - What they're REALLY buying (it's not "dead group revival" - it's something deeper) - What price point makes sense In my case, I discovered that I can also position my strategy for new groups with low active members, instead of just focusing on dead groups. Then everybody interested received a DM: "I'm going to run an auction where the winner gets the exact post structure, positioning, and step-by-step process I used. But before I do that, I wanted to talk to a few people like you to make sure I'm including everything that matters. If you could get your group making [their desired result] - what would be worth paying for that?" This tells you their price sensitivity WITHOUT you throwing out a number first. There were a couple super HOT people, so I DM'd them: "You know what - you seem like exactly the right person for this. The auction might go higher than makes sense for you. What if I just hooked you up directly for $[reasonable number based on their buying history]? Would that work?" Closed them even before the auction started.

Gets people to make faster decisions (without pressure)
People delay making big, scary decisions. BUT... Shrink the decision, remove the teeth and they often move forward. Let's say you have a potential partner who was hot to trot about running an auction... But then... They start dragging their feet. What to do? TRUTH and SHRINK the decision. “If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering if your peeps will respond to an auction. We can figure it out in one email/post. We’ll know in one email and a couple of hours. I’ll write the email/post if you send it.” It works because we “shrink” the decision in their heads. People delay making big, scary decisions. Shrink the decision and remove the teeth and they often move forward. Then you can run home and tell your sweetie, "Honey, I shrunk the decision!" Now... Get this. If the test goes great... NOW the potential partner is so excited that they ask YOU to move forward. If it doesn't go great... PERFECT! Now we know we need to change the offer OR move onto another partner and we've wasted very little time.l Knowing and practicing this has made me a fortune. Now… I pass it on to you!! LOL, No worries, the only catch I like involves a beer in hand, toes in the sand and a Frisbee! It wasn't a winning sales script but, I went with what I had.

Holy Crap... I think I'm starting to figure this thing out! I took Travis's outreach message, translated it, and tested the wording until I got a decent reply and positive response rate. I'm sending (intent-based) personalized emails with only one follow-up message. Now that I figured out how to get them to respond... I'm fixing the next “puzzle piece”: I'm getting ghosted after sending the Loom... started trying to get the truth on the table about why they ghost me... so I can fix the Loom next... Guys... I'm so ready for some ☕ dates...

Hey Christian, I might not be able to give advice from a successful venture(I'm working on my first also) and I (obviously) haven't seen your loom, but I have a ton of experience in what not to do. A good friend (who could sell a ketchup popsicle to a man in a white suit lol), pointed out that in my excitement about sharing a great thing, I tend to stop selling the watch and fall into explaining how it keeps time. Hope it helps?

Had a breakthrough this week. First & second batch of emails didn't do well. Then I went super specific and BOOM... 6 positive replies from only 33 contacted so far (out of 100). So a few more should raise their hand when the campaign's finished. The other thing I did that I didn't do on the first couple of campaigns, is target people I have something in common with. The first line of Travis's first email does this... And I now think is a key reason why the Giving Funnel works so well: You sound like a colleague getting in touch with a cool idea rather than a marketer. Also booked a Coffee Date just from DMing an owner of a Skool group directly, and using some of the same copy.
