💸 Money Myths at 50 🎉 (no, it's not too late!)
I turned 50 yesterday 🎂 One year ago, on my 49th birthday, I woke up in a full-blown panic. My head had been firmly in the sand and I had no real sense of whether Future Me was going to be OK. So I did something uncomfortable: I looked. Properly 👀 And I’m in a significantly better place now than I was just one year ago. Over the last year, here are the five things that made the biggest difference: 1️⃣ I examined my money mindset — the stories, shame, and avoidance I’d absorbed 2️⃣ I got clear on my actual numbers (messy, imperfect, but real) 3️⃣ I learnt a bit about investing — because I had never been taught 4️⃣ I built an emergency fund, so I stopped yo-yoing in and out of stress and debt 5️⃣ I started paying myself first — because no one else was going to look after future me None of this required being “good with money.” I just needed to get educated and get started. Midlife is NOT too late to sort your finances out, it's actually a powerful moment to take control - with more wisdom and more perspective. I have a community for women who want 2026 to be the year money stops being a source of anxiety and starts becoming a source of safety. Come join us!

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

Hi, I’m Mary. Professionally: I’m a long-time entrepreneur. I have a Skool community called This Chapter Matters for women who have goals that matter to them and want clarity, confidence, and forward momentum without pressure or hustle. Outside of work: I’m at my best around people who love learning, growth, and real connection. I’m drawn to thoughtful conversations, laughter, music, movies, and travel. I also love baking. Something surprising: I’m not a coach and I don’t want to be. 🤣 Everything I share in my community comes from lived experience, paying attention to what works, and staying open to learning along the way. I’m also more playful than people tend to expect when they first meet me. 😁 🥳 I'm super happy to be here and looking forward to connecting.

@Debbie Acker I like the version in this meme. I wasn't so crazy about the Jim Carrey version. 🤣
The CLASSIFIEDS Premium Tier - Everything You Need to Know!
If you are already on the Premium tier and want to know how to make the most of it, or are thinking about upgrading, here is everything you need to know... ⭐️ 🗞️ In the Standard tier, you can post in the community once a day in any category (except for days with a hashtag prompt, then you get an extra post!). There are two kinds of acceptable community posts: "anything" promoting your Skool group, or offers that are free (freebies, free workshops, podcast promotions, your own YouTube channel promotions). You can see the list of categories in the How It Works pinned post. These "rules" are for both standard and premium members. 🌟 🗞️ Now for the additional benefits for Premium members: 1. Premium members are allowed to put an "ad" in the classroom to advertise anything they want - free or paid. The ad stays up for as long as they are a premium member. Ads rotate weekly. 📰 You can place your ad by creating a draft course in your own community and then copying the course key and sending it to me to copy into the Classifieds. Course keys can be found by going to the thumbnail of the course in your classroom and clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. 2. Premium members also have access to all live events on the calendar. This includes meetups twice a month (called the PERSONALS) and open drop-ins once a month. 📆 The meetups are structured and focus on improving your visibility as well as helping you make connections and foster collaboration. 3. Premium members also have the opportunity to host their own free masterclass for all members on the CLASSIFIEDS calendar. This gives you the chance to provide value to the members and then pitch your group or product at the end. 💵 In order to qualify to host a masterclass, you have to first take my How to Teach a High-Value, High-Converting Masterclass workshop ($27). The next one is being offered on January 6th with doors opening for registration January 2nd. After taking the prerequisite workshop, the first masterclass you offer is of no charge. Subsequent masterclasses that you would like to offer will be subject to a $10 administrative fee.

Thank you, Shannon! This post is super helpful and one that I'll refer back to often. There's a lot to unpack in here. 🤣😍
Nothing is being taught on this call. And that’s the point.
This Chapter Matters is a community for women who care deeply about goals that still matter to them and have noticed a frustrating pattern: the desire is there, the effort is there, yet something keeps interrupting follow-through. Not laziness. Not lack of commitment. Just habits and reactions that quietly steer things off course. This week inside the group is our monthly Sunshine Call. ☀️ It’s a live, informal Zoom where women show up with coffee or tea, maybe a snack, and settle in. Conversation flows. Laughter shows up naturally. No slides. No lesson. No one trying to impress anyone. There’s no teaching. No pressure to perform. No expectation to have something profound ready. The value isn’t information. It’s stepping out of your head for an hour and giving yourself some breathing room. If you’re ready for a way forward that doesn’t require force, you’re in the right place.
