Why problem-solving videos grow Skool communities faster than chasing views
Most Skool owners think they need viral content to drive members. They don't. When someone searches YouTube for a specific answer to a specific problem, they are already motivated. They are not browsing for entertainment. They have a question and they want it solved. A video that answers that question clearly does not need to compete with anyone. It just needs to be useful. That viewer is also pre-qualified. Someone watching a video about a problem your community solves is already closer to joining than almost anyone you would reach through trending or entertainment content. They arrive with context. Nice post, thank you for sharing @Des Dreckett ! What I found in my small experience of posting long-form YouTube form is that often we struggle responding to one single problem. I think it comes from the fact that from our point of view we see all the nuances. The problem that we run into as content creators and educators is that we overload our viewers and rather then answering a problem or a pain point, we actually create more problems for them. As a general rule when I build my videos and my education or content, I try to abide by answering one question at a time. I think it helps me stay on track on the subject and also it actually gives my viewers more content and more specific things to solve that specific problem that they're looking for. If that makes sense?
