Tuesday Eats!
We’re going to talk about this more throughout the week, but the best way to get into a routine that lasts is to incorporate one thing at a time. When you solidify one habit change at a time, you don’t get overwhelmed, and it also gives you the opportunity to pinpoint anything past your capacity at any given time. As you’re creating your routine for the rest of the year, consider how you can incorporate cooking at home more. Most people underestimate just how beneficial cooking at home is regarding reaching their goals. 🍽 Maybe you can’t commit to seven nights per week. Maybe you can’t even commit to four nights a week. The point is that if you can commit to anything more than what you’re currently doing, that’s progress and growth. It’s important to note that in order to build a routine, it has to be consistent. Maybe you set aside certain nights of the week and commit to cooking at home those nights of the week—and you don’t let anything get in your way. If cooking at home feels like a struggle, start small and choose quick and simple meals like the one below! ⬇️ 5-Ingredient Sweet Potato Curry - Eating Bird Food TAKING ACTION: ✅ Is cooking at home part of your routine? Why or why not? What do you think you can commit to over the next few months?

Experiencing Burnout?
“You will burn and you will burn out; you will be healed and come back again.” – Fyodor Dostoevsky Let’s talk about burnout. Burnout along this journey is a very real thing, and if I had to guess, we’ve all experienced it at some point. Burnout can often be traced back to undereating and/or over-exercising. It seems clear as to why burnout happens when one (or both) of these things is at play. But what if you experience burnout and neither of these is at play? What if your nutrition is sufficient? What if you’re not over-exercising? What’s the reason you find yourself exhausted and maybe even resentful when everything seems to be on point regarding your daily nutrition and fitness habits? Well, friends. The first thing to know is that burnout along this journey can still happen—even when you’re seemingly doing everything right, and we’re going to talk about it this week! 💯 If this topic interests you, I encourage you to show up every day this week to learn and engage with our group! It’s going to be a great week as we discuss a topic that isn’t talked about enough. Not only that, I’m going to give you some tips on how to overcome seasons of burnout! Here’s to a great week, friends! 🔥 TAKING ACTION: ✅ Have you ever experienced burnout even when doing everything right? How did you overcome the trial?

Toxic Positivity
Let’s do a little Sunday check-in, friends! 🙌 We’re nearing the end of the month, and it seems summer is flying by! Before we know it, it’ll be fall and then winter. Because life is happening in the blink of an eye, there’s never been a better time to take charge of your health. Today is the day. Now is the time. ⏳ Taking charge of your own life is one of the most empowering journeys you can ever embark on. Did you know writing things down brings them to life and makes your thoughts visible? 👉 I encourage you to take some time this week to write down a list of positive outcomes that will happen if you start today and commit to your goals for the rest of the year. 👉 Then take some time to write down a list of negative consequences if you don’t do what you need to do for the rest of the year. It’s no fun to look at the negative consequences, but sometimes, it’s just what we need to push us in the right direction. ➡️ It brings reality to the surface. We’re so used to the “toxic positivity” culture today. In reality, we need both positivity and negativity. You can’t swing too far one way. It’s similar to needing both truth and grace. I encourage you to work on this list of both positive and negative outcomes in the following week. 👌 Don’t forget our last June meeting is THIS EVENING at 7pm CDT / 8pm EST - TAKING ACTION: ✅ Sunday check-in time! How are you doing overall? Do you feel like you’re mostly on track? Is summertime harder or easier for you? Share with us so we can cheer you on!
