Lightweight jacket
What have you found to be a comfortable, lightweight, casual jacket for Fall weather? Basically a hoodie substitute. Think sports games, bonfires, early mornings in Fall. Not too casual but not too formal. Ideas welcomed. I remember my grandpa's old light blue zip up but, figured better not go there (yet). 😄

OOTD September 30th
Back at work getting ready for a busy couple of week's ahead. Department polo over Vertx slate color pants. Black Anson belt with silver buckle and black Tecovas boots. Later changed into uniform with a new outter carrier body armor. Invicta Dive watch and Scent Reserve inspired by Baccarat Rouge.

👍. Be safe
Shouldn’t be this hard!
Finding wide sneakers that don’t look like shiny plastic garbage or something my teenager would wear at a skate park is proving difficult. It really shouldn’t be this hard. Anyone have Thursday Boots sneakers? They look a little shiny to me but would love to know if anyone has a black pair that could share an opinion.

Yes. Have a pair 11EE white, took a minute to get used to white, now I love them. They have a matte Black on my list next.
Functional Rugged Clothing: A testament...
In my day to day life in the last frontier of Alaska I am confronted with environments and conditions not faced by the avarage man in this group. From icy conditions with deep snow, mountainous terrain, and even the welding shop where I spend most of my day, I need clothing that is ready be protective more than stylish. The accessories I require in day-to-day life are also vastly different than the avarage man. For isntance when going around on a hike or even a brisk walk in my area it is generally considered a good practice to carry a firearm, not for defense agsisnt muggers or vagabonds, but bears and moose pose a significant danger! But why can't I have both? Clothing that is stylish but yet suited for rugged life I live? Looking at antiquity I see that even the laborers in the early 20th century would be considered stylish by the modern sense. Many wearing collard shirts, vests, and different hats even when working dirty jobs as iron workers or bricklayers. Many men would carry a timepiece of some sort to keep track of the day. The problem is that those kinds of clothes back then were as common as a t-shirt and jeans now-days. I think my only option is thrift stores. The problem I run into when it comes to thrifting is that I am quite a tall fellow (6'5") so most things are far too short. That leaves tailor made or commercially avalible options but those are often times far to expensive to be used in rugged terrain such as hunting and such. What are your thoughts gents? The first pic is my return from a hunting trip earlier this week!

Accessories That Tell a Story
Gentleman, All of us come from various walks of life in this community (although oddly enough many of us are/were military). Each of us has a unique story that makes us who we are. What is YOUR story? Use only your style as the explanation. Watches, belts, boots, or even pocket squares often carry personal meaning. What’s an accessory, or accessories, you own that speaks to your character, history, or goals — and how do you work it into your outfits? Myself? I came from a small town in southern Ohio. Poorest county in all Ohio. I’ve been blessed to have done well in life but I absolutely love going back to my hometown when I can to see old friends. I don’t dress up when I’m there, but I often fashionably “dress down” when hanging with friends in a casual environment. It’s usually a pair of light brown Chelsea’s, Levi 505 jeans (medium light) and a faded red, black or dark navy blue tshirt that accentuates my shoulders and chest. Watch? I keep it simple with a Fossil Townsman Automatic Black Stainless Steel Watch. I apologize for no reference pics. Will be sure to add in the future. Lesson learned: Dress to your environment and the intentions/emotions you want to evoke. Even the simplest outfits can be fashionably planned with a purpose. Am I trying to impress or am I trying to make others around me feel comfortable but yet respect my presence? That’s the power of fashion and personal style. Embrace your story brothers of RMRS.
