Using AI to Visualize Your Style
Gentlemen, I want to share a tool that’s changing how many of us approach our wardrobes: AI outfit visualization. Why It Matters We’ve all been there. We see something on a mannequin or online, only to realize it doesn’t look the same once it’s on. AI is starting to solve that problem. With a photo of yourself, you can use AI to “try on” different outfits, styles, or even full looks before you buy. It’s like having a digital mirror that shows you what works best for your body type, skin tone, and vibe. How It Works - Upload a photo of yourself (nothing fancy—just a clear shot). - Select styles or specific pieces (e.g., “navy blazer with chinos” or “rugged field jacket and boots”). - You have the option of describing the outfit or uploading it after the first photo. You can even describe the setting you’re in. - AI renders a preview of how you would look in that outfit. Why This is Useful for Us - Saves money and see what flatters you before dropping cash. - Confidence boost knowing your best looks in advance. - Experiment safely by trying styles outside your comfort zone without committing. Where to Take This I see this as more than just “trying on clothes.” It’s a way for men to: - Build a personal style guide. Creating a vision board of sorts. - Discover their best cuts, colors, and patterns. - Use what we learn from Antonio and experiment. - Share looks with the community for feedback before buying… or not. You do you! Gemini is the one I’ve been using lately for this but you can use various AI platforms. MidJourney, ChatGPT, Grok, MetaAI. I’m sure there’s others, but Gemini is my favorite for now. Here’s a few pics I made recently. This first pic (the real one) was what all the others were based off of. If any one you feel technically challenged, I’d be happy to help!

@John C I’ll take a look at that app. You’re 100% correct though. Prompts are key! I also found that most AI platforms are good for one picture change per thread. Each time you make a change in the same thread, the face changes. lol. So I end up saving the pic and adding or subtracting in the new thread.

Accessories That Tell a Story
Gentleman, All of us come from various walks of life in this community (although oddly enough many of us are/were military). Each of us has a unique story that makes us who we are. What is YOUR story? Use only your style as the explanation. Watches, belts, boots, or even pocket squares often carry personal meaning. What’s an accessory, or accessories, you own that speaks to your character, history, or goals — and how do you work it into your outfits? Myself? I came from a small town in southern Ohio. Poorest county in all Ohio. I’ve been blessed to have done well in life but I absolutely love going back to my hometown when I can to see old friends. I don’t dress up when I’m there, but I often fashionably “dress down” when hanging with friends in a casual environment. It’s usually a pair of light brown Chelsea’s, Levi 505 jeans (medium light) and a faded red, black or dark navy blue tshirt that accentuates my shoulders and chest. Watch? I keep it simple with a Fossil Townsman Automatic Black Stainless Steel Watch. I apologize for no reference pics. Will be sure to add in the future. Lesson learned: Dress to your environment and the intentions/emotions you want to evoke. Even the simplest outfits can be fashionably planned with a purpose. Am I trying to impress or am I trying to make others around me feel comfortable but yet respect my presence? That’s the power of fashion and personal style. Embrace your story brothers of RMRS.

@Warner Smith I feel you my man! Grew up with one or two pair and now I don’t have space for what I have. lol. Every year, I go through my clothes and shoes to see what I haven’t worn in a long time and donate them.
First post, I’m try’n to better myself… can you guys help?
Hey everyone, my names Steven… I’m new here and I’m trying to better myself life. I’ve been kinda down on my luck over the years and I’ve never really had too many friends to give me any advice. I’ve haven’t really studied style too much before and I’m really excited… the guys here seem really helpful and outgoing. … it’s something to inspire towards. Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself and post a picture of my mug & everyday attire. I’m feeling better now than I have in a while so I want to set a new standard for myself by getting feedback and getting my life together. Here’s to the first day of the rest of our lives! Thanks.

@Darren Poesel There’s no link. I used Gemini and made up a prompt. I think there’s a lot of value in using AI for makeovers, fashion choices, etc. Gives you an idea of what might look good on you or not. I’ll try to create a post talking about this very thing in the near future.
Don’t Sell yourself short
Gentlemen, I want to share something with you. For the longest I had low self esteem which now looking back was why I had that non caring and not caring what others thought about me because I did not think much about myself. Thus led to the stepping away of the values that my parents and grandparents instilled in me, that opened that door for the world to tell me what they wanted me to be. I know now that this mindset hindered me in so many aspects of my life. It cost me jobs, promotions, relationships, business growth, and all of my own volition. Do not sell yourself short because that is how the world, and people around you will respond. The way people treat you is a reflection of how they see you. The way you let them treat you is a reflection of how you see yourself. You were not created to be a doormat for people, society, and the world to step on and clean their feet on. Create and be the best version of you and not a duplicate of others.

@Anthony Buntyn Brother, I’m glad you found your purpose. Many go their entire lives not having a clue or resisting to learn. I applaud you my man! I have a couple children that are resistant to listening and it’s difficult to see.
