What would you start?
If you knew you were about to have a lot more land to plant stuff what would you plant? What would you start winter sowing now?

@Hannah Messer oh, that's a good idea. Though I don't know who meeds what most of the time. πŸ˜‚ My plants and mushrooms are survival of the fittest
What's this?
Hey everyone! There are these mushrooms near me and I am wondering if anyone knows what species they are and if they can be used in cooking. There are some others too but they are only around for a day or two before they die. I'll try to get a picture while they are still thriving. All these mushrooms are so cute!!!

Sharing seeds
I am so happy to see that all of the zinnia and delicata squash seeds that I pinned to board yesterday have been adopted!

We have a plant stand in the locals library. Leave plants and cutting. Take plants or cuttings. Ppl take turns going in to make sure they are watered and looking good. A seed station probably wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Okay, Trying something new w/ the community...
I have updated our community so that it has two options or "tiers" for new, incoming members - one paid "premium" tier ($9 per month) and one FREE tier. The Free tier will grant new members access to the community and to ONE course (the "Beginning Forager's Action Steps" course) The premium tier will grant new members access to the community and ALL the courses. Y'all who are already here won't notice the change...I don't think. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for sticking with me as I get this all figured out!

@Brittany Bunk it's definitely a struggle to find the balance. With our group, everyone is ised to is givng the info for free. So to then ask them to pay has been tough. What we ended up doing is having some basic beginner info for free, then for a little more detailed stiff we have a tier that basically costs a good cup of coffee per year. That way it's not much money, but as the group grows, those little drips in the bucket could possibly add up. They we jave the VIP that includes the courses that people are dumping time and resources into making. And those who aren't on the VIP can still buy them with a one time payment if one pops up that they really want to take. It's involved and hopefully it works haha. Just like here, we need to cover costs but we don't want our free members to feel left out. And ppl who can pay are welcome to share what they've learned with free members. I framed it this way. Knowledge isn't behind a paywall. Convenience is.

@Brittany Bunk thanks :)

Seems like mushrooms are popping! I found this beautiful cluster of oysters on a stump in my front yard, and a bunch of Virginia pine (?) needles that will either be decor or pine needle soda if they are a true pine needle.
