✨February Challenge & New Course ✨
Friends - I’m so excited about this one! February is officially our Foraging Journaling Challenge Month, and it’s designed to be: ✔️ Fun ✔️ Zero-pressure ✔️ Beginner-friendly ✔️ Perfect for messy notebooks and curious brains Whether you’re journaling about plants, mushrooms, weather, birds, lichens, animal tracks, moon phases, or whatever catches your eye - it all counts. 💚 How to participate (choose ONE each time): 1️⃣ Post a photo of what you journaled about (the plant, mushroom, sky, frost patterns, etc.) 2️⃣ Post a photo of your journal page (pretty or messy - both welcome) 3️⃣ Share what you discovered while journaling or researching That’s it. No deadlines. No perfection. Just noticing things and sharing the joy of curiosity together. 📚 Also - new journaling course now live! I just added a brand new Foraging & Nature Journaling course in the Classroom tab, and it walks you step-by-step through: • The benefits of journaling • How to choose your journal and layout • How to build a joyful, sustainable journaling habit This course is free, short and open to everyone so check it out!🌱 Let’s flood this space with moss, mushrooms, winter buds, muddy boots, half-finished sketches, weird questions, and tiny discoveries. Who’s in? 🙋‍♀️📖🍃
Foraging journal entry 2/7/26
Today's entry was more reflective, jotting down my current projects and the things I need to do next to complete them. I don't like how I can see through to the previous page, so I'm starting to sketch things out on the left pages. It's nice to have the time to sit and write and watch the birds. 😊🐦‍⬛🐦

Action step: about my journal
About my foraging journal: I went on a hunt in my art supplies and abandoned sketchbooks. I'm afraid to commit to a brand new book and give up on it, so I figured picking up one that was already given up on once would solve that problem/brain block of mine. I'm using a notebook cover my mom or aunt sent me with this used sketchbook that lost its cover. It's cute and soft. I just started numbering the pages today. My writing tools are a favorite pen & pencil & pastels inside a cute caterpillar that I can't forget about. Added a new pencil to it today, one I can write with. I'm keeping my journal & caterpillar either in my work bag or on my dining room table so I remember to use it. For my garden plans, I use a larger notepad of grid paper. And I only just discovered that the backside is lined! 😱 I typically rip the pages out as I go and keep them in my garden bag. Hoping to hear about everyone else's journals! 😊🌞

Feb 6 journal entry
Well I was able to get outside and walk today, we are still snow covered but it's starting to melt 🫠 I'm very ready to get outside and get more honeysuckle cleared up. I got a few rocks painted today so that's a positive ✌️❤️ my dragon MoMo woke up last night after a few weeks of sleep 😴 I'm now using her as my weather forcaster and taking this as a sign warmer weather is on the way 😂 because she only eats when it's nice outside 😂
