It is unique. Thick, whorled leaves, strange bumps on bark, hundreds of individual florets construct the brush.

@Melanie Weird That’s news to me. I hadn’t know that its leaves could be infused. Thank you for sharing this information. Smiles
Shedding what no longer fits.
Exciting find for a forager, an entire shedded snake skin! Spring is such a special time of growth. Yesterday I found fallen pieces of hatched bird’s eggs beneath trees. And last night, I saw two deer in the basin area at CoHousing. My neighbor Toni reported seeing a fox there several days ago.

Florida is home to 46 species of snakes. Only six of those species are venomous.
Tried some new greens this year!
Made a delicious chickweed salad with wild violets flowers and greens, spring onions, and fresh eggs🥹 it was delicious and I'll definitely be adding this to the meal rotation ☘️

Virginia Bluebells!🌱✨
I put off eating these for a long time because i'd heard they have a "fishy" flavor - but I finally faced my fears😂

I am appreciative of your video teaching me of another edible wild green.

Lover of Long-leafed pines. Pockets bulging with forest & seashore finds. I am learning from nature’s reciprocity and resilience.
