Thank Y'all for having fun with me here! ✨It's been awesome!✨
Hi everyone, I've decided to close this Skool community on June 30th That should give y’all time to finish any courses you’ve been working on in the “classroom” tab and make connections with the folks you want to keep in contact with. This group has been super fun, but I need to simplify my workflow. I have been pulled in too many directions between my day-job, side gigs, volunteer work and keeping up with publishing videos to YouTube, Tiktok, Rednote, Instagram and facebook (You can find me on all those platforms as @thatweirdplantlady) If you want to stay in touch and keep getting foraging tips, plant IDs, and updates on my next book, you can join my email list here: https://forms.gle/tPNGbbLHmeRtpCHH9 That's where I'll be sharing my best content going forward - no spam, just plant & fungi fun in a monthly or bimonthly newsletter. Thank you for being here. Hope to see you on the list. - Melanie 😁👍🌱✨

Foraged Black lotus pods
Ewww -Gooey, protein bonus in every pod! I returned them to the Earth and multitude of grateful, crawly diners.

Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) Is it edible? Yes & No Contains some edible and some toxic parts. Upper left hand corner of last photo: Unsuspecting Black Locust tree as I snuck-up on it. Near the children’s literary garden in Bedford, VA.

@Colette Tamilio oh they did smell sweet! They sure did. Slightly molasses, an earthy-kind of sweetness.
Garlic scapes
I’ve never eaten one yet. These are from a friend’s garden, cooking them tomorrow.

Lover of Long-leafed pines. Pockets bulging with forest & seashore finds. I am learning from nature’s reciprocity and resilience.
