*UPDATED* Help! I need a name for this:
This Mezcal based manhattan style cocktail is my new go to and I’m obsessed, I created this back in February but it’s been crazy around here finally getting to sharing it! 1.5 oz Los Vecinos in Mezcal (Bahnez works great - lightly smoky) 1 oz Sweet Vermouth .5 oz Cascadia Liquor American Bitter Liqueur .25 Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur .25 Licor 43 (yes, I tweaked it since taking the picture) • Stir with ice, strain into coupe. • Brandied/Bordeaux/or Amerena cherry garnish (sunk at bottom is best as it does enhance flavor) • *Express and discard lemon zest (also crucial, not sure how I forgot to mention it). I’m blanking on the similar amaro to the Cascadia so I’ll add that in when I remember since it’s a local brand to me and I don’t think it’s available too far out of the PNW. ***Update: Amaro Nonino functions as a solid replacement. It’s not as good as Cascadia in it but it’s still delicious and will give you the same flavor vibes!*** Anyway, this drink is friggin delicious, please drink it. And help me with a name! I was thinking I’ll just call it a “Portland” cuz it’s weird and eclectic and a city name like the Manhattan. Thoughts?

Clover Club
The Clover Club Cocktail is a drink that pre-dates Prohibition in the United States, and is named for the Philadelphia men's club of the same name, which met in the Bellevue-Stratford hotel. The Clover Club itself dates to 1896.

I always thought that it’s a creation of Julie Rainer 🤔. What is the difference between this one and the one I mentioned?
Cinnamon Liqueur
Syrup day!!! Well as noted it’s more a liqueur that I use in recipes that call for cinnamon syrup. I go 2:1 sugar to vodka and leave the sticks in the liqueur. Shake it every few hours until sugar (white) is dissolved (no heat). At time(2-3 days later) I need to add more vodka to fully dissolve the sugar. I tend to reuse the same sticks for a few batches/refills and add a fresh one. Intense red cinnamon bark colour, thick mouthfeel and very bold/bright flavour (no alcohol taste)

Interesting recipe! You didn’t add any additional water, right?

@Stephane Foisy so by ABV it is quite close to vodka, right? Because a lot of YouTube-bartenders almost always say about 20-25 ABV for DIY liqueurs. And here it should be a way higher 😅
How to choose right glassware?
Hello guys and gals! Maybe it’s a stupid question, but how do you select a glass to be perfect for a cocktail from volume perspective? I understand that this skill can be obtained with some tries on. But I want to buy some glassware for my home bar and already bought too big to serve cocktails in the same manner as in professional bars. Are there any hints or calculations for picking the right vessel?

@Darryl Madrigal thank you for the advice with water practice! I’m not a bartender (yet), just mixing some dockyard home. But you know, it’s always tastes better if it looks perfect 😁

@Caleb Parks thank you for these calculations! Will try to test it out 👌
I need your help.
Hello, everyone. I need some help. I hope this simple request will be helpful! Please spare 7 minutes and watch the new video I linked below. Please watch it on YouTube and like it. If you want to share it (optional), I will be forever grateful. I have been away and need some boost, especially with this video, as this could be a potential new partner to JSOS. I want to thank you in advance. I do appreciate your support! 🧡 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tclhaKhrE0c
