Question about jackets
Hey everyone Because I have a summer wedding coming up I have been looking to get a linen quarter lined or unlined suit jacket to wear.Because my budget is low I have been looking to thrift. My question is because 99% of them are beige do you think I could wear a beige jacket with all of my shirts (even dark navy or black) or does it look tacky and I can only wear it (and it looks great) with a classic white shirt

@Alan Dormire any input is appreciated.Yes thrifting for linen jackets is way tougher than thrifting for a classic wool jacket. Its also really tough to find a jacket that doesn't have full lining but I believe the polyester lining will be too hot .Thank you do you think that all the really dark shades will not work or just with the colour itself and not how dark it is?
Thoughts on personal style...
Picking a personal style is not about chasing trends or reinventing yourself every season. It is about recognizing what you consistently return to and owning it with intention. Over time, I noticed that my choices kept circling the same principles. Clean silhouettes. Quality materials. Restraint. Clothes that feel settled rather than performative. That repetition was not accidental. It was evidence. Personal style shows up in what you trust when there is no audience to impress and no costume required. I have worked in and helped close six, seven, eight, and even nine digit sales, and I have presented at conferences where attention is earned, not demanded. What I learned early on is that owning a room has nothing to do with peacocking. It comes from your voice, your posture, and your calm. When you are put together without being loud, people focus on what you are saying and how you carry yourself, not on flash or bling. Clothes should support that presence, not compete with it. Clothes should also target the mission. A suit is great at a fine dining establishment. You do not wear it to the gym. Know your target and know your audience. Context matters. Dressing well is not about wearing the same thing everywhere. It is about choosing the right expression of yourself for the room you are walking into. Brothers, you can own a room. If you have not yet, it is something that can be learned. My style may sound odd to some, especially given that I wear a lot of John Varvatos, which many people think of as a rocker brand. But facts are facts. I choose the pieces for their fit, texture, and restraint, not for flash or hardware. I do not buy cheap clothes, and sometimes I will go a little overboard when a piece truly fits my standards. Other times, I am just as happy being a bargain hunter. The price is not the point. Intention is. I would describe my style as understated, intentional, and refined casual. Clean lines. Elevated basics. Very little flash. I want my clothes to stay out of the way so my presence can do the work.

I also think that it's important to avoid archetypes when choosing your style and what I mean by that is because you wanna dress in an " old money fashion"way doesn't mean all your outfits should fit that style and you can't own a leather jacket for example because it doesn't fit the archetype
Erebus Ascent 41 Aventurine x Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Le Parfum
The Christmas tree lights turned the Aventurine dial into a small galaxy on my wrist. The sparkle shifts as you move, and the tree just helped it show off. The Erebus always walks that line between clean design and a little quiet magic. Paired it with Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Le Parfum. Smooth, modern, and steady through the day. It matched the watch’s tone without competing for attention. Simple pairing, but the two worked together well. A little shine on the wrist, a clean trail in the air.

First Impression
Good morning gentlemen, I have a question for you this morning, are you a people person? Now for me I like people, but I am not a very outgoing type person that will immediately try to make friends or just walk up and introduce myself randomly. So if you are this type person you are not alone. The sad part is more and more people are being this way because of the world we live in. The caution flags seem to stay raised. Yes we need to always be cautious, but not to where it prevents us from getting to know certain people. For me, I had people say that I look mean or unapproachable. I don’t think that I am or come across as this. But if I hear that from several people then I need to take a look at this and I have. So why is this important? Because when you are making connections this is important, you do not have to be the life of the party but you want people to feel you are approachable. This is very important if you are wanting to make connections beside, that first impression is what people remember. My brother and gentleman Nicholas Logan in this community spoke the other day and I have spoken about getting to know certain people that you frequent their establishments. This could be your dry cleaner, your tailor, the bartender, waitress or waiter, you want to get to know people at places that you frequent a lot because these are the ones that serve you and will also look out for you. For example, there are a few places that I and my wife frequent and also places that I take my clients to, so when I walk into a particular restaurant I am greeted by the person at the door by my name, They also know who my favorite waiter or waitress is so if they ar working they will seat me where they are working. Why? Because that person at the door recognizes me, and that waiter or waitress made sure that they know when me or my wife walks in they get assigned to us because we give them respect and we also tip them well for their service. The bartender, he knows my name and what my favorite drink is and how I like it. This not only impresses my clients, but they see that these people know me and respect me and I respect them as well.
