Collaboration Wanted: I’ll present for free
I’m looking for groups of 20+ people to present to about online course creation. It can be a Skool community, a mastermind, a membership, a cohort-based online course, or other similar group. I can present on a variety of topics such as How To Ensure You Have a High-Quality Online Course, The 4 Biggest Mistakes People Make When Creating Online Courses, or How To Get Started Creating Your First Online Course. I’ve presented for @Michelle McCartney ’s group. If you’d like to know what a session with me is like, you can ask her. 😉 Please send me a DM if this is something you might like to pursue or if you know someone who might be interested- they don’t have to be a Skooler…

@Danna Owen, MS Hey Danna! Yes, it's really started picking up during the pandemic. Now it's taking off.

It has come to my attention that it is against Skools terms to offer or seek out employment, so I’ve had to change the Help Wanted tab to Feedback Wanted. I will delete previous posts in this category. My apologies for the misunderstanding. 😊

I wonder why that is? That sounds like a strange rule.

@Shannon Boyer I don’t think that’s their business. Yet another reason to dislike stripe. I reworded my post to keep within your updated rules. Thanks.
What is more important? Your Community or Your Classroom?
For years in the online space, I've heard people talking about the myth of passive income - just build a course (it's easy 🙄) and sit on the beach while you watch the money roll in for years to come. I've been working hard to dispel that myth by teaching people the value of community and personal interactions. Now, inside of Skool, I'm seeing the exact opposite conversations going on - community is the most important thing. People don't need more information (which is kind of true), they just need a transformation. And, so now I find myself trying to dispel a different myth - that the quality of the content in your classroom doesn't matter. The truth is that they both matter. And if you want to have a Skool group that stands out above the 172,000 other groups in this space, then having intentional content in your classroom that is well organized and that provides clarity and a clear roadmap to a proven result is important. Now having said that, if your group is based on simply gathering like minded people together to bond and come together for comradery and good-times, then ignore everything I've just said (😂), but if you are asking people to pay you (with either their time or their $) to achieve a result and achieve a transformation, then I'd like to invite you to spend some time thinking about what you are going to put in your classroom. Oh, and if you'd like some help doing that, check out the calendar on Sept 26! 😉

I was teaching in college when online courses started becoming popular, early '00s. Those first courses had mini-communities built in to emulate a classroom environment. It was very bulky and complicated on both the student and teacher side of it. I look at Skool now and, with some minor tweaks, can totally see it doing the same thing. It's too bad higher education has too much red tape to make such a thing work. I think that's why it doesn't have a great reputation at the moment, in part. The thing it does have in common is this, both are helpful in reaching the end users goal.
Sales Rep Partner?
I'm looking into the possibility of partnering with someone that has sales experience. I build systems. I manage projects. I don't have the time to find clients. I'm building the vision and I need help with getting clients in. I'm also bootstrapping this venture (no angel capital). The industry is education. The product is local marketing. The candidate would get 50% of all their sales that comes in for the first year then a competitive salary once we are stable. Is there is a better or more attractive way to do this? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

Sales Rep Partner?
Local Business Visibility Sprint
I'm currently testing to see if there would be a market for local business owners with a physical location or that are a service area business to optimize their business for improved search engine visibility. https://www.skool.com/local-town-websites-8766/about?ref=33e4360b2a2c45b18623eaecbb515cf8 I have a process I use for my own clients that I can turn into a step-by-step sprint-style course. I have a teaching background (taught web design at the college level) so I know I can make something that will work for busy business owners. First three in this group can join for free so I can get feedback, DM me your email address (I don't know how else to provide free access). I'm aiming at a $200/m price point down the road and I do believe I can provide value. Currently $500 one-time. The community is already created but before I put too much effort into something I want to know from those of you what your thoughts are. Let me know! Thanks!

@Shannon Boyer Maybe the targeting. My original intent was to do this for private schools and microschools. I just worry that there isn't enough demand. If I do limit to that, I can guarantee that if in six months they don't see more clicks to their website or calls then I'll personally work on their business?
