Coaching Call Feedback w/ Jonathan Garces
"Dude...once you learn cold email, you can launch any offer, any business, any idea... I launched my podcast agency within a week and knew it was a hit because I ran a campaign and got a ton of people applying the next day." - @Jonathan Garces I was one of the fortunate (and very appreciative) ones who won the 15k celebration coaching gift. Most of those who've interacted with me in the community know that I am pretty new to Cold Email campaigns. I am learning as much as I can about this way of outreach. Jonathan dropped some serious knowledge bombs about this, and I've got to tell you that I have been doing email wrong - it's not about spraying and praying with your outreach. Niche vs. general. WITH the right systems... Here are my key takeaways from the call with Jonathan: (Please note: This coaching call was specifically for the staffing/recruitment industry) 1. Market Segmentation Approach: - Segment target audiences as granularly as possible - Don't write generic messages trying to reach everyone - "When you speak to everybody, you're speaking to nobody" - JG - Focus campaigns on specific industries/roles where you've had success (What roles have we placed well) 2. Data-Driven Strategy: - Use ChatGPT to break down job titles and roles - Fine-tune your ICP based on the research here - Research which titles are most in demand - Focus on markets where data is easily accessible - Consider volume requirements - need enough potential targets (Use Apollo technique) 3. Campaign Development: - Research what roles are most common in target industries - Use actual placement experience to inform messaging - Name-drop relevant titles in opening lines - be very specific to their language - Focus on staffing niches with good margins 4. Industry Focus Advice: - For recruitment, narrow down to specific sectors (e.g., biotech vs general finance) - Look for industries that need volume hiring - Match your service capacity to client needs - Consider company size and hiring velocity

My recruiting brother, you got this! As you have outlined, you have what you need to make success happen. If things don't fall into place, you have many experts ready to hop in and help. It's so cool you got to chat with Jonathan. I paid for a consultation with him and it was so good. Looks like Ian was on the call with you as well. Nice!
🚀 How to rebuild 10K+ LinkedIn followers from scratch in 2025
Just discovered something fascinating about LinkedIn in 2025 that's completely changed my perspective on business networking. While everyone's fighting for attention on Instagram and TikTok, if you still have access, LinkedIn has quietly become a goldmine of opportunity - but not in the way most people think. I spent months analyzing what actually works on LinkedIn now, and I've got to say, nearly everything I thought I knew was wrong. It's not about viral posts or building a massive following anymore. The real opportunities come from understanding the "Monday Morning Problem" framework and leveraging what I call "trust bridges." The results I'm seeing with this new approach are mind-blowing. One business owner I worked with went from zero presence to booking 38 qualified sales calls in just two weeks. Another generated $18K in new business in less than a month. I've put together a detailed classroom module in the Insiders Community breaking down the exact system, including the templates and tools I use. Not the usual "build your personal brand" fluff - just practical, actionable steps you can implement immediately. Would you be interested in seeing the full breakdown? I am considering importing the Insiders LinkedIn Module into the Lead Gen Secrets community for a low one time purchase. Is this be something you would be interested in having as an option in the classroom? Comment below "LinkedIn" and explain how you would like to implement it into your cold outreach. @Ian Kirk will be doing a Get Started Call Later Today. And touring you around both communities. See the Calendar for the exact time in your time zone. Already doing outreach with LinkedIn? What's been your experience with LinkedIn lately? Has anyone else noticed how differently the platform works in 2025?

4 Cold Email Psychology Tricks That “Hack” A Prospect’s Brain to Reply: 1. IKEA Effect 🛠️ (Make Prospects Invested) People value things more when they help create them... Just like how IKEA furniture feels more valuable because you built it yourself. This means asking your prospect to share ideas or give feedback. Example: Instead of pitching your service outright, ask them something like: "Open to swapping ideas as to how [service] would work for [company]?" 2. Reciprocity 🤝 (Give Before You Ask) When someone gives us something valuable, we feel compelled to give back. In your cold emails, offer value for free: - Lead data - Free advice - Resources specific to their business Avoid the hard sell in your first email. Show you’re here to help, and it’s easier for the prospect to say “yes.” 3. Cocktail Effect 🥂 (Be Hyper-Relevant) At a noisy party, you can immediately recognize your name being called. The same goes for cold email: - People tune out generic & templated noise - But pay attention to details that matter to them To stand out: Personalize your emails with specifics: - Their industry - Their challenges - A recent milestone they achieved Use language that makes them feel like the email was written just for them. 4. Brevity ⏳ (Respect Their Time) People are busier than ever. They won’t read long, drawn-out emails. Keep your emails short, clear, and actionable. Good practice: - 3-5 sentences - A single, clear CTA Combined, these 4 triggers make it difficult for prospects not to reply. The next time you finish a cold email, ask yourself: - Am I keeping it short and respectful? - Am I being relevant to their world? - Am I making them feel involved? - Am I giving value first? If not, go back to the drawing board.

This explains why you send all new Insider members an IKEA Järvfjället. If they can get that sucker together, they're with you for life.

🧠5 Genius Email Hacks Top Marketers Don’t Want You to Know
The greatest email marketers are using 5 hacks to increase their performance right under your nose. When I started using them, my open rate shot up from under 20% to over 50%. Even using one will make a huge difference: 1. "Block" Text 📄 Ever received an email that had a huge pile of tiny text at the end? I used to think great marketers like Ravi Abuvala did this for legal protection, but the truth is much simpler. Every email marketer knows promo words like "free" & "sale" crush deliverability. The problem: It's hard not to use these while promoting (if you want to sound normal). By adding a long, boring block of text, you reduce the ratio of spam-triggering words to normal words, giving you more room to breathe. 2. Subdomain Sending 🌐 Protecting your primary domain is extremely important. If you get blacklisted or get too many spam reports, you'll need to wait for months before it can recover. Instead: Make 3 subdomains and add them to your CRM. If one gets burned, you switch it out instantly for no downtime. 3. Domain Management 🛡️ You're probably warming your primary domain with Instantly, Smartlead, or another free warming tool. These are great for most domains, but they aren't the best in class. To keep your primary domain as safe as possible, use Warmy(.io) to: - Warm it - Track potential blacklists - Monitor deliverability It's more expensive, but easily worth it so your primary domain stays secure. 4. Custom Unsub ✉️ In most email marketing campaigns, there's an unsubscribe link at the bottom that instantly removes anyone who clicks it. The problem: Most people just want to receive less email, not opt-out completely. Instead: Create a custom unsubscribe link that takes people to a 3-option form: - Hear from me often (every email) - Hear from me less (important emails) - Hear from me never (no emails) This saves people who only wanted fewer emails from being gone forever. 5. Smart List 📋 If you want your emails to rarely bounce or be reported:
