Skool Communities for Teaching a Hands-on Skill?
I posted this in another group and didn't get much response, I don't know if what I'm trying to do is too complicated for Skool? But I think I remember @Michelle McCartney talking about the idea of creating our own Skool communities so maybe you all can help me out here - Do any of you ladies own or belong to a Skool group dedicated to teaching a practical skill? I need some help picturing what's possible with Skool so I can decide if it's the right platform for me. Here is what I'm trying to do: I want to have an online apprenticeship program to teach sewing in a way that will lead the learner to graduate to a seamstress who can then work for me and my shop. The process would be something like this: 1. Work through modules of basic sewing techniques and knowledge (modules would be picture or video) - this will be free 2. For a small membership fee, you unlock the modules for learning to sew an actual item/garment, and all the more technical skills associated with it. It would start with easy things like headbands, then move up to simple skirts then full blown dresses, each one requiring more technical skill and practice. 3. As a module is completed, the learner can then decide whether she wants to continue building her craft, or pause where she's at and make a bunch of that particular item for the shop (and I will pay her for her work or per sale, I haven't decided yet) I'd like for there to be a good supportive community where women can ask each other questions and help each other out who are at different stages of learning. My questions/concerns are this: 1. Given what I've explained, would Skool be a good platform for what I am trying to do? Specifically with regards to setting up stages of training modules 2. Is it easy enough to make a Skool group so I can invite one or two people to help me test things out as I develop my training? 3. How active do I have to be with regards to "content creation" or new posts on Skool? I noticed Neta posts very rarely but other communities the owner posts multiple times a day (which I would not be able to manage!)

@Michelle McCartney I didn't even know I could look for other communities 😆 Does it cost money to start a community? I appreciate your offer to chat about it and I'd love that. I'm very focused on launching my business (hopefully within the next week or two!) and my social media has kind of taken off overnight so I'm a bit overwhelmed. But I want to keep this in the back of my mind for when things settle for me here soon

Things are heating up in my business! 🔥
I have another potential client consultation call on Tuesday!! This lady came to me on LinkedIn, said that she saw my profile and happened to be looking for a bookkeeper when she came across me. She has multiple businesses, and needs help! I’m super excited and nervous 😬😁

Awesome! You got this ❤️
🔥Get your FIRE emoji
🔥If you're just starting out, it's best to not get overwhelmed and to focus on a single goal - the fire emoji. Here's what will happen when you try to get the fire emoji: ☀️you'll get comfortable with the platform and know how to use it optimally ❤️you'll find groups that you actually really enjoy being in 🌈you'll make connections with other amazing entrepreneurs that can support you in your journey ⭐you'll set a good example for the members of your community In order to get the fire emoji, it's simple. Do at least 10 activities on the platform for 30 days in a row (then don't miss a day or you're fire emoji will go away). 🔥So, who's going for the fire? *if you're going to the fire, let's help you! Document your journey in this group with daily updates and have conversations in the comments! This alone for the next 30 days should get you the fire*

@Michelle McCartney activities like commenting and posting? Does liking a post count?
If 200 people saw your brand…
I don’t have a lot of experience using Instagram for my business yet so I’ve been doing a lot of experimenting and content creation to see what sticks. This weekend I put out a pretty plain reel that just detailed my basic services and was surprised to see today that it had over 200 views just from the for you Instagram page. Most of those people only viewed my post for 1 second, but that made me think, how can I convert more of those views into interest? I will definitely be doing some more work creating reels now that I’ve seen the possible reach! If you had 1 second to capture the attention of 200 people scrolling through their feeds, what would you want them to know about your business?
