Skool Communities for Teaching a Hands-on Skill?
I posted this in another group and didn't get much response, I don't know if what I'm trying to do is too complicated for Skool? But I think I remember @Michelle McCartney talking about the idea of creating our own Skool communities so maybe you all can help me out here - Do any of you ladies own or belong to a Skool group dedicated to teaching a practical skill? I need some help picturing what's possible with Skool so I can decide if it's the right platform for me. Here is what I'm trying to do: I want to have an online apprenticeship program to teach sewing in a way that will lead the learner to graduate to a seamstress who can then work for me and my shop. The process would be something like this: 1. Work through modules of basic sewing techniques and knowledge (modules would be picture or video) - this will be free 2. For a small membership fee, you unlock the modules for learning to sew an actual item/garment, and all the more technical skills associated with it. It would start with easy things like headbands, then move up to simple skirts then full blown dresses, each one requiring more technical skill and practice. 3. As a module is completed, the learner can then decide whether she wants to continue building her craft, or pause where she's at and make a bunch of that particular item for the shop (and I will pay her for her work or per sale, I haven't decided yet) I'd like for there to be a good supportive community where women can ask each other questions and help each other out who are at different stages of learning. My questions/concerns are this: 1. Given what I've explained, would Skool be a good platform for what I am trying to do? Specifically with regards to setting up stages of training modules 2. Is it easy enough to make a Skool group so I can invite one or two people to help me test things out as I develop my training? 3. How active do I have to be with regards to "content creation" or new posts on Skool? I noticed Neta posts very rarely but other communities the owner posts multiple times a day (which I would not be able to manage!)
